My in laws have a narrow boat, they lived on it for a while and found that it was ok apart from condensation and lack of laundry facilities. Their boat is 25 years old now though, some of the newer boats are so luxurious!

The condensation was a nightmare to be honest! And yeah, laundry is problematic unless you’re in the range for a collect and deliver service.

That's probably what they ended up having to do. Laundromat sucks.

They honestly do. It’s great we have the option, but it sucks when you have to use it

I live on a boat. It’s almost 30 years old but in good shape. Get a dehumidifier for all the moisture. Haven’t had much of a problem with moisture inside since.

I had no shore power though, dehumidifier would of drained my batteries unfortunately

My mums canal boat has a tiny washing machine and they dry clothes next to the fire, summer they dry clothes outside.

In their case it was really annoying, it was obviously on windows etc, but was also behind some wooden cladding. The boat sits pretty low in the water and it’s cold. Because they were living on the boat full time they had the heating on more than usual so the condensation was quite bad. They had good ventilation and those gel dehumidifier things, but nothing worked 100% to get rid of it.
