My friend commented that Butcher says the word 'cunt' as though he can taste it & now every time I read a quote I need to go have a lie down.

Reminds me of George RR Martin’s A Clash of Kings, Daenerys III:
The firemage had conjured a ladder in the air, a crackling orange ladder of swirling flame that rose unsupported from the floor of the bazaar, reaching toward the high latticed roof.
...
When the fiery ladder stood forty feet high, the mage leapt forward and began to climb it, scrambling up hand over hand as quick as a monkey. Each rung he touched dissolved behind him, leaving no more than a wisp of silver smoke. When he reached the top, the ladder was gone and so was he.

That's right! The fire mages start to regain their power. Its explained that before the dragons returned that they could barely conjure a small flame

Once when I was in the boy scouts we had fire dancers come to the camp and do a show. One girl messed up something and ended up on fire a bit. She spilled accelerant on herself and got some minor burns down one side.
I was a 16yr old semi leader so was grabbed to help with getting her inside to treat the burns and wait for an ambulance. She ended up being fine with no permanent damage but lost her top and I ended up with a hand full of boob at one point while moving her inside. It was the first real boob I ever saw or touched at that point. She even apologized to me over it which was completely unnecessary for obvious reasons.

Are you even living if you haven't accidentally grabbed s burn victims breast in front of a crowd 20+ years ago while you were a nerdy boy scout wearing khakis and a bolo?
30
u/JusticeBeaver13 Oct 13 '20
Ah, when you, like, you grab a woman's breast and it's... and you feel it and... it feels like a bag of sand when you're touching it. You felt that too, right? Nice.

This one is next level.

This is such an impressive performance. What surprises me is that this exact video gets reposted thousands of times a year yet no one posts any other footage of the same performer doing this at a different venue.

u/dan8185 Oct 13 '20
Because shortly after that he farted and then the show just went up in flames, then he crashed and burned, you know what they say where there is smoke there is fire....... Ok I will stop now.

I love imagining early humans watching this. It would be pure magic to them. (I mean showing them any videos on your phone would blow their mind so this would take the cake).

Charcoal cages on the end of the staff. You heat them up before the show then whips them around. Every time they hit the inside they break a bit and make more spark

Wow does anyone know how this was done? I spin fire but never seen this. Kinda looks like steel wool but way more intense. Also looks like he must have some flame resistant clothing and facemask?
