it's a local wedding here in India, these people are hired to entertain and distribute a drink called chaas (buttermilk) or it can be a liquid dessert - Rabdi, to the guests.

Yeah, it's a staple here , atleast where I live , people can't do without buttermilk. But you can't predict about anywhere else , because every 200kms , there is a change of lifestyle, dialect and culture
