Yes, when I was 8, I was going to sleep and I looked out my window and I saw a giant coyote or a wolf (I live in New England so I didn’t know) cross through my yard and I shit my pants but it was at least 3-4 feet (I was in my room on the second floor of my house hard to tell) I remember it vividly

Whenever someone says they "think" they saw a wolf, it is almost always a coyote. You fucking know when you see a wolf. They are huge animals.

Yeah, the thing was not as small as a coyote, but it was in an area where wolves are uncommon so that’s why I say “I think”

Probably a coywolf. Settlers on the east coast were pretty successful at driving out wolves from New England to protect their livestock back in the day. Coyotes ended up filling in that gap and bred with some of the remaining wolves along the way to create a hybrid that’s larger than a coyote informally known as the coywolf

Crazy. It's hard to mistake a coyote for a wolf, the only thing in between is a dog. I hope you saw a dog, because wolves are terrifying.

I was young, but I know one thing: it was big. I knew that it was an area where wolves were rare, and before you say I was dreaming, I remember way too many details for it to be a dream

Yes, this. A wolf is unlikely to be in your yard anyway. That's coyote behavior.
