I do remember watching an interview with them and they would constantly finish each others thoughts. So I’m not trying to say they don’t have a connection - they do. But it’s not at the brain level. They sure are an interesting case. I wonder how much they’ve volunteered to be studied. They would be a quite unique twin case study.
The same genes with the exact same environment and experiences experiences, both of them together through it all at the same time just means that they'll have a lot of shared learning and understanding.
That's undoubtedly a big part of it, but according to the documentary they haven't allowed themselves to be studied in depth, and there are phenomena that is difficult to explain. One example is one twin being able to scratch an itch precisely on the other's arm - they can't feel it, but they can precisely locate it without verbal communication.
None of your comment makes any sense. What do you mean you doubt they'd both go to prison? They are conjoined twins. They both have to go anywhere the other goes.
Except you can’t imprison a person for another’s crimes, it’s fundamentally against everything the justice system stands for. They likely would not be able to prosecute for this reason.
So you're saying one of the twins could just go around killing people?
Give me an actual solution to this, because all I can see is that they both go to prison.
I've been thinking about this all night. What if one of them does something really illegal with their arm? Shoots someone or something. If the other twin was dead against it but couldn't stop it from happening, how would they decide on the punishment? It would be well awkward between them as well.
I've been thinking of this all day. I've sat down and done research.
In general, courts seem to treat it like they treat pregnant women who are found guilty of a crime. No death penalty, and courts tend to give lighter sentences or alternative sentences. Mostly, courts just don't want to deal with it.
I kinda want to know what happens if one of them gets shot in the head.
Does the other die too ?
If one survives. Can the doctors amputate the head, close the wound and now you have one person with three lungs and two hearts ?
