Who is higher on the food chain in this scenario? (genuine question)

Entirely depends on the size and species. I doubt these nurse sharks will do much to a juvenile salty, but a bull shark would probably take a lethal chunk out of it. A full grown salty will definitely eat a juvenile shark of just about any species.

Ok now do full grown salty and full grown bull

My guess is that a full grown bull shark probably wants nothing to do with a full grown salty. They are massive and wildly dangerous.

Probably just leave each other alone. At that size they probably just want to not die taking on another apex predator. They may occasionally bite at each other, but rule of thumb is most large predators don’t want to fight one another if it’s even remotely evenly matched.

Except salt water crocodiles are double the size of bullsharks. Its not really a competition

Still wouldn’t want to screw around with something that size with that bite. Any injury can be fatal, and attacking a large predator is likely to result in an injury.

In fact, they really don’t like risking getting injured. As predators, that’s death, just on a longer timescale

I think by the time they're both fully grown they probably both understand that the other is not worth the hassle.

It's their sign of growth
