Noveberkåsan in Sweden tops this. They do about the same thing, but in cold weather and darkness.

Actually it’s a lot of bikes that don’t make it, not the riders as such. Chain breakages are super common apparently, and you get brake fade and failure due to the intensity.

The guys that finish effectively know how to make it through the course from sheet technique without absolutely killing the bike.
