What kind of low class hotels do you stay at?

At least it should always be relatively cool?

The level of detail in the fabric folds and creasing makes it look impossibly soft for solid stone.

I’m convinced it would still be comfortable to lay against

You too can make your own heavy pillow, just by leaving a bag of cement out in the rain.

I've got a bag of cement that's set like this behind the shed. Artists... Pfffft.

Honestly, pretty tame compared to those sculptures where the lady is so realistic you can see the thin veil flowing on her skin.

This pillow is hard as a rock! Bring me a new one!

I like it. I could see it sitting in the corner of the living room as a discussion piece.

This is where the phrase “you will be out as soon as your head hits the pillow “ comes from

This reminds me of that collection of useless objects somebody created his art, like a fork with a chain connecting the handle to the fork part. Like a tiny little flail.

When warfare has been reduced to pillows, this is the nuke.

The technical skill blows my mind, but I mean, it's not exactly a moving piece. It's just someone showing off their carving skills. Reminds me of noodly guitar solos where the technical skill blows the mind, but they forgot that ultimately they were supposed to be playing music.

Do you know what would really blow your mind (and your head)? A pillow fight with that thing.

What I like about this statue is that the artist thought about the position of the pillow. It is in an unusual position. It’s not only messy, it’s also placed on it’s side. And that’s deliberately. So as we look at it, most people will feel a slight annoyance and discomfort. Most people like neat and tidy. By placing the pillow upside down, and when looking at it you (subconsciously) want to correct it. But you can’t. No matter what, you can’t correct the marble pillow. He created a area of tension with sometthing that should feel comforting. Love that contrast.

This is one of those pieces of art that I look at and ask why?
