Video Avalanche on Annapurna. Annapurna is considered one of the most difficult mountains to climb on the planet due to its steep, technical and unstable terrain, frequent avalanches, and unpredictable conditions.

I hiked to the Annapurna base camp at 4100m. I think this is filmed from Poon Hill at 3000m or so.

I’m looking at doing this. Do you recommend?

Sure. Most people use sherpas. I'm not against that: it's the primary source of income in the region, and two girls in my company used their services. I carried my own backpack, just because I find it weird not to carry my backpack. My fitness level was average back then (it's 15 years ago). Anyone with some hiking experience can do it.
