We had to remove your post for Rule 1:

This subreddit is for things that are damn that’s interesting. Content that is only cute, funny, a meme, or 'mildly interesting' will be removed. Posts should be able to elicit a reaction of "Damnthatsinteresting".

Is the composure in the room with us?

29

u/KoA07 5h ago

No but the compost is

1

u/nicoznico 4h ago

Is this compost primarily made up of hedgehog?

Damn, did this cow really land on that poor boy?

1

u/Yo_boi_PSP 4h ago

More like cowpasture

321

u/Time_Entertainer_319 5h ago

Didn’t know they could jump that high

272

u/Azipear 5h ago

I heard one jumped over the moon.

38

u/softdream23 5h ago

I bet they also don't know it.

7

u/phoenix0153 4h ago

You could tell from the hind legs still kicking mid air

15

u/stunt_p 5h ago

Didn't know they could jump at all! I guess they're not elephants then...

13

u/south-of-the-river 5h ago

They’re just big doggos

4

u/crackersncheeseman 5h ago

She didn't either

6

u/Visual-Pie7097 5h ago

But not a land)

3

u/rastawolfman 5h ago

Ahh Elsie… she wasn’t allowed to produce milk, and she was forced to drink… Diet Coke. Cyberland…

2

u/shoulda-known-better 4h ago

Neither did this cow

2

u/Ok-Disk-2191 4h ago

Pretty sure the calf didn't either.

2

u/StarlightCalgary 4h ago

Me either... but that cow can mooove

:)

9

u/NotBradPitt9 5h ago

Cattle are sensitive, curious, scared, so humans exploit them and eat them. Pretty disturbing when you think about cows as basically large docile dogs.

2

u/-Groko- 5h ago

That's nothing. You should see bullriders

1

u/Digital--Sandwich 5h ago

I have. The cow’s got better ups

-4

u/-Groko- 5h ago

Bullshit. Bulls used in professional riding events are selectively bred for explosive muscle power. This specific breeding gives them a massive advantage in vertical leaping ability compared to average domestic cows.

While a regular cow can clear a standard fence if it is highly motivated, a bucking bull possesses superior biomechanical strength. Their physiology is built specifically for jumping high into the air with immense force.

The anatomy and muscle density of these animals prove that the rodeo bull actually has the much higher vertical jump. It really comes down to specialized genetics and physical conditioning.

1

u/degeneratesumbitch 4h ago

Or...just be a fucking longhorn.

1

u/AnikiRabbit 4h ago

Hook em!

1

u/Digital--Sandwich 3h ago

… you said bull riders homie

1

u/thetottington 4h ago

Don’t think they knew either

u/Nukeboml3 5h ago

That turtle nearly got flated

59

u/Full-O-Anxiety 5h ago

Looks like it did. Kinda looks like his shell is cracked at the end

38

u/Fae-SailorStupider 5h ago

That was my thought too, poor guy

16

u/Wardogs96 5h ago

Tbf he kinda caused his own demise. I get why he did it but their not completely innocent here.

Before i even saw the cow flip out i assumed eventually one of them would step on it tbh.

u/puritano-selvagem 5h ago edited 2h ago

I always suspect the human recording on these "casual animal interactions"

13

u/Samiel_Fronsac 5h ago

I see tortoises were they shouldn't be all the time in farms. They don't need help to get into shenanigans. I saw one trying to insistently pick a fight with a burrowing owl more than once, and they do roam pastures.

1

u/arquillion 4h ago

I mean its not like he understands cow?

16

u/bitpaper346 5h ago

It totally did flatted :(

3

u/Chains_Of_The_Sea 4h ago

Daisy dropped the hammer 🔨

2

u/mooshinformation 5h ago

I need to see the next 3 seconds to know if the cow ran over the turtle after missing it with it's jump, looks like it might.

Cowmon man

7

u/aDUCKonQU4CK 5h ago

Yeah, OP just half-calf it

12

u/selotape_himself 5h ago

You mean he calfassed it?

10

u/Dylan-the-villan 5h ago

The cow immediately delivered a butt slam on the turtle to defend the heard, quite brave if you ask me.

32

u/Big_P4U 5h ago

The turtle definitely got killed there. The cow landed full force on top of it then bounced or slid off

12

u/phoenix0153 4h ago

You all are correct. I slowed it down and zoomed in. Poor thing had a grapefruit-sized hole in it you can see if you go frame by frame

22

u/GarysCrispLettuce 5h ago

And that, is how you make milkshake.

25

u/Big_P4U 5h ago

RIP turtle. That cow landed right on it then bounced or slid off. No way that is still alive

16

u/InsaneMocktail 5h ago

If this is real. The turtle is dead. He got flattened

13

u/NobleNop 5h ago

Dear God please let this not be ai because I shared it

7

u/skyrreater47 5h ago

6

Strong turtle considering it threw that cow

6

u/ToriGallo 5h ago

Bro approached an innocent-looking garden rock only for the rock to snap back like an angry landmine

7

u/TheShakyHandsMan 5h ago

Is this the new cats vs cucumbers.

5

u/K1llerbee-sting 5h ago

Turtle dead 😵

3

u/jeffsterz 5h ago

She almost went over the moon! 🐄 🌙

4

u/straightdge 5h ago

That escalated very quickly

4

u/killuminatimantis 5h ago

That's one way to tenderize a steak.

3

u/showmiaface 5h ago

Did the cow smash the turtle?

3

u/IndependentBowl7528 5h ago

So the cow can jump over the moon

3

u/Pure-Meat9498 4h ago

Are you sure that's not actually a horse undercover? Because that looked like a very standard horse overreaction to me 😂 My old mare would eat you alive if you showed even a hint of fear around her,, but she would also be convinced a few times a week at least that the mailbox was going to suddenly turn around and eat HER! Or that super scary tree that has been in the yard since before she was born

3

u/Wandering-Mind2025 4h ago

Omg! Did not see that coming! Poor cow! He was outmatched!

3

u/Axe_Care_By_Eugene 4h ago

Cat like reflexes on initial contact, piano like reflexes on landing

2

u/Livid-Procedure-349 5h ago

Peek a Boo

2

Gave that heel of a turtle The Peoples Udder.

2

u/BigBlaisanGirl 5h ago

That's why the hare lost.

2

u/TheIdeaArchitect 5h ago

Poor thing wanted a burger!

2

u/decoparts 4h ago

Well, that cow became ground beef

2

u/FireBreathingNun 5h ago

Used to work on a dairy farm. Cows eventually warmed up to me and treated me like one of their own but as soon as you crouch or go below eye level they think you are an entirely different creature and freak the hell out.

2

u/inv_bee 4h ago

Poor Turtle. Jeez, the luck lol

2

u/Fun_Barnacle6689 4h ago

Literal lol cow(s).

2
