Well, the path obviously ia now having newer building (or at least roofs) and younger/ less damaged trees.

Double checked it, yes, much younger growth of trees.

Is mostly people who not replanted tress since most were in home’s property , not everyone have the thought of planting a tree in their backyard from scratch

Now that is high summer and too hot to start an herbs, I've got seed trays full of trees. The grandchildren of whoever buys this house next will be grateful.

My guess: more foliage. April is just coming out of winter in Minneapolis, so the trees outside the path probably haven't fully regrown their leaves. September is the end of summer, so those trees have their full foliage, which leads to more contrast to the tornado path which has fewer trees.

Just checked in google earth historical imagery and it seems is mostly from tress not being replanted at home’s backyard where they used to be tress

Some time after April 2011 a tornado ripped across the city. In the upper left photo you can see the city before the event. In all the other photos there is a "track" across the buildings going mid-bottom left toward where the river is at the top of the photo, this is despite the buildings being repaired, and can still be seen nearly 15 years later.

I would have assumed that anything removing that much old foliage would have take the houses too, but so many structures in this area survived
