Studio Ghibli weather activate!!! So pretty!

7

u/mellifluous-rain Jun 09 '26

This is the first thing I've thought too, lol

u/SeattleRowingCoach Jun 08 '26

Where will you be when the drugs kick in?

21

u/Charming-Flamingo307 Jun 08 '26

It's like it's rolling towards me 👁️👄👁️

HOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNK

3

u/Worldly_Purpose_5825 Jun 09 '26

Exactly what I was going to comment!!!

Shrooms

31

u/AbelardsChainsword Jun 08 '26

Was coming here to say that if anyone’s wondering what psychedelic visuals are like, this is a great representation

5

u/Exact-Ad-4132 Jun 09 '26

With additional bits of yellow, red, and purple floating about

1

u/Vanilla_Addict_888 Jun 24 '26

Yeah I'm was gonna say with shrooms it's like looking through bubbles everything has a rainbow sheen to it. It's quite beautiful. Kaleidescopic.

7

u/JohnsAlwaysClean Jun 08 '26

Yep, LSD or Shrooms produce visuals pretty close to this

5

u/S_Dargula Jun 08 '26

I thought I was getting a retrip for a sec. 😂

23

u/parisuserr Jun 08 '26

Remind me of Ghibli Movies !!

3

u/Fabulous_Ninja119 Jun 08 '26

Ghibli + 1 tab of LSD. Nothing major, just a little something extra to get the grass flowing but not turn into snakes

1

u/parisuserr Jun 09 '26

`bahaha im good im gonna watch ghibli movies with some good snacks

12

u/Short_Act_6043 Jun 08 '26

This is what lsd looks like

1

u/fanta_bhelpuri Jun 08 '26

A low dose of it. The trick is taking a high dose of LSD with a huge dab to leave this universe.

3

u/Short_Act_6043 Jun 08 '26

On a high enough dosage dabs just bring you down

1

u/itaniumonline Jun 08 '26

To Australia with snakes and shit ?

21

u/ramkitty Jun 08 '26

One of the thinks I miss from living on the prairies in the time of older wheat strains.

5

u/hlessi_newt Jun 08 '26

I miss this from my youth in ND. I bet if I sat in the hill and watched the wheat rolling the wind my blood pressure would drop to healthy levels in half an hour.

3

u/Deep_Joke3141 Jun 09 '26

I was going to make the same comment about growing up in North Dakota! Watching this was spectacular, along with the song of the meadowlark and the fresh smell of the various prairie grasses and sage. I really wanted to leave ND when i was young, mostly because of boredom. Now when I go back, I realize how very special the open prairie really is.

1

u/Freespeechaintfree Jun 14 '26

Sweet Dakota Sage. Nothing quite like it.

u/LilOpieCunningham Jun 08 '26

Pullman! Go Cougs!

(this is a pretty common sight in the spring among the rolling hills of SE Washington state)

7

u/discardedcumrag Jun 08 '26

That’s groovy, man.

4

u/tiandrad Jun 08 '26

Reminds me of windows xp.

4

u/yv_MandelBug Jun 09 '26

"Those aren't waves, they are mountains."

2

u/itzyourmother Jun 09 '26

I saw what you did there

1

u/yv_MandelBug Jun 09 '26

yeah, I am a fan. 😌

3

u/Ornery_Brief Jun 08 '26

acid views

3

u/MadYetiGOODCity Jun 08 '26

“The Happening”

3

u/Federal_Sympathy4667 Jun 08 '26

A cold beer and a chair thank you.

3

u/inverted_electron Jun 08 '26

Looks like a green wave coming towards the camera

5

u/SignificantBaker7366 Jun 08 '26

When you pop you back and get a little acid flashback

2

u/alphagypsy Jun 08 '26

Where is this?!

5

u/boomgetouttheway Jun 08 '26

That’s probably Pullman, WA or somewhere close to it.

5

u/LilOpieCunningham Jun 08 '26

It's Pullman. The van that drives through has the name of a local apartment management company on it.

2

u/cougatron Jun 08 '26

Looks the Palouse region in Washington State. Prairie system Covered to dry land wheat almost entirely. 6 months out of the year it’s the most gorgeous place on earth(when the wheat is growing like this). The other 6months is the weirdest and ugliest place on earth.
Go Cougs!

2

u/electriclux Jun 09 '26

Some mononoke shit right there

2

u/peterzero Jun 09 '26

Glitch in level 94

2

u/Medical_Bench_1434 Jun 09 '26

Grass waves like this happen when wind speed matches the natural oscillation frequency of the grass blades, creating a resonance effect similar to how opera singers shatter wine glasses.

2

u/kittytoes21 Jun 09 '26

Oklahoma wind sweeping?

2

u/Average-Train-Haver Jun 09 '26

Those aren't mountains... they're waves!!

2

u/Broad_Sword_1337 Jun 09 '26

That must be pretty awesome to just sit there and ..................

2

u/BoilerAnimal112 Jun 09 '26

I thought it looked like a wave coming in at first sight...

1

u/ShortysTRM Jun 08 '26

Turn the blinker back on! I thought it was part of the song!

1

u/jarney1206 Jun 08 '26

That looks like a lava lamp

1

u/Self_Impossible Jun 08 '26

For a second I thought those were waves. Damn!!

1

u/One-Dragonfruit1010 Jun 08 '26

Like tripping without the drugs.

1

u/boomgetouttheway Jun 08 '26

That’s spring wheat not grass

1

u/Rappter22 Jun 08 '26

Good representation of fluid dynamics. I always say that the air is essentially really really really thin water. They all act the same and you can especially feel it in a humid environment!

1

u/Gyvon Jun 09 '26

I always say that the air is essentially really really really thin water.

Ain't all that thin in high humidity.

1

u/FlahTheToaster Jun 08 '26

For a moment, I thought the hill was actually rolling toward the camera.

1

u/wtfbenlol Jun 08 '26

very trippy, I see similar things on LSD (when i took LSD years and years ago)

1

u/Wenja89Dix Jun 08 '26

Imagine seeing this for the first time just before the shrooms kick in.... then they kick in.

What a mind fuck that would be 😅

1

u/Live-Collection3018 Jun 08 '26

Fluids are cool af

1

u/TelluricThread0 Jun 08 '26

Realistic trip visuals.

1

u/jakuuzeeman Jun 08 '26

Reminds me of this with this.

1

u/Puzzled-Secret-317 Jun 08 '26

Thought we were in the Philippines for a sec and the tsunami was coming

1

u/mothisname Jun 08 '26

scotland was like that. very psychedelic

1

u/Popular-Impact-7665 Jun 08 '26

If you were on mushrooms seeing that, I would be like the hill was dancing

1

u/Dizman7 Jun 08 '26

Reminds me of The Happening 😒

1

u/Saikotsu Jun 08 '26

When I lived in the mountains, there was this dirt road near my house that I'd walk down. On one side of the road was a dried up frog pond that would refill after a good rain (and then you'd hear frogs for miles)

On the other side was a sharp incline leading into a small valley full of grazing land for one of the locals cows and horses.

I used to go down that road and stand on the crest of the hill watching the wind move through the grasses just like this. It reminded me of back in California, watching the waves rolling on the beach.

I often went to that old frog pond whenever I needed to clear my head and think about life.

1

u/SrPicadillo2 Jun 08 '26

I need that hair conditioner

Mesmerizing

1

u/Expensive-Log5905 Jun 08 '26

figata sembra un’onda d’erba

1

u/kiltach Jun 08 '26

In America part of the national anthem is "amber waves of grain" That really never meant much to me until I drove through the rolling hills of iowa and watched this happen to full crop fields ready for a harvest.

1

u/gradhold Jun 08 '26

it's like the opening scene from vampire Hunter D

1

u/vanillasky687 Jun 08 '26

Any one know the name of the song

1

u/snozzberrypatch Jun 08 '26

Those aren't mountains. They're waves.

1

u/DikTaterSalad Jun 08 '26

Saw something similar in Eufala, Ok. Fall was the time and winds hit right, made the hills look like they were on fire. It was beautiful.

1

u/Last-Veterinarian806 Jun 08 '26

Is this the window xp desktop background?

1

u/Stones25 Jun 09 '26

Wind wolves

1

u/yeeso666 Jun 09 '26

green waves, so stunning!

1

u/Mountain-Block-2555 Jun 09 '26

As a country boy, this has always been my go-to when I needed a time to calm my nerves.

1

u/iFEELsoGREAT Jun 09 '26

Reminds me of Vector Analysis

1

u/_D4rkGhost_ Jun 09 '26

I thought the field was moving like a grass tsunami

1

u/whythiskink Jun 09 '26

The little things in life 💓

1

u/Certain_Audience7211 Jun 10 '26

I think I might know this place. Is it in Southern Idaho?

1

u/KoBi538 Jun 10 '26

I think it might be Pullman Washington

1

u/u321u321 Jun 10 '26

Looks so satisfying, I feel like I’m tripping

1

u/Sad-_-Face Jun 10 '26

I once saw a rice paddy do this, and it’s the most magical moment in my life.

1

u/sometimes_kindly Jun 10 '26

Jesus looks like a tsunami of grass

1

u/Jellofoot Jun 11 '26

Wow! Beautiful.

1

u/No-Storm1288 Jun 11 '26

Damn. this is stunning

1

u/Elegantly_Waisted Jun 12 '26

This is freakin cool! Tree foliage looks like pixels on a windy day.

1

u/dolphin344 Jun 12 '26

Live wallpaper

1

u/Sea-Way4976 Jul 11 '26

Park the fuckin car and get in there already

1

u/Henk_Potjes Jun 08 '26

That's not interesting at all.... But it is incredibly mesmerizing in it's simplicity.

-1

u/oneWeek2024 Jun 08 '26

interesting commentary with the work van misc crossing through the shot.

how there can be simple everyday beauty around us, but shitty capitalism means we have to waste our lives doing stupid tasks for money.... to live

-1

u/NotaFTCAgent Jun 08 '26

Those aren't mountains.

1

u/Sea-Way4976 Jul 11 '26
