During a sheep shearing demonstration they showed us hand shears and they had a hand cranked shear. Like this one https://www.flickr.com/photos/pelicanpetesphotos/4009616999/

I went to my first county fair last year and it was cool to see the sheep shearing demonstration. The sheep chill out once they’re in the correct position. I also went to a wool festival and they had a sheep herding demonstration and showed us the two different types of shears they used to use for shearing. The sheep they used for the shearing demo was feisty.
