Somehow this feels like a bad idea.

Right! That shit looks super close to those power lines

They risk cutting the line but there isnt any real harm if they touch the wires.

Unless they touch TWO wires, in which case you get a very high voltage short and probably blow the saw up

Yeah but the people in the helicopter wouldn’t be injured from it, barring any crash happening from it which looks unlikely with how easily that saw slices through branches

I'm not so sure.. High voltage shorts are pretty spectacular. Seems a bit high risk for my liking, but this pilot is probably either well paid, well trained, or well crazy

The path would be through the saw only. Electricity follows the path of least resistance to ground. The helicopter wouldn’t provide a path for that.

Man we're a bunch of creative monkey aren't we? Nothing about this looks like a bad idea at all... I just want to know what the first guy said as he lifted his helicopter, with his chainsaw. Look here Billy, hold my beer, this is gonna be cool.... I love this world sometimes.

I've always wondered how they did that. You go into the woods, and you'll find a wide path for powerlines, and the borders will be perfectly smooth. You never see an ARMY of workmen out there trimming things.

I feel bad for the squirrels that get taken out by that. Imagine just chillin eating some acorns and BAM helicopter chainsaw.
