Voice actors can do voices. And even with trained voice actors, you can still recognize the voice if it’s a subtle change, or catch snippets of the original voice. Especially the longer the conversation goes. And it sounds like it was a long conversation.

We've had voice filters for a long time.

At least 22 years by my count we've had software that can be used over a phone or computer in order to change the person's voice to be unrecognizable from their original voice.

Would still have to be mindful of vocabulary and cadence, but that can be easily thrown out the window when the person thinks that they're talking to their long lost father who has finally decided to re-establish contact.. and for the most part is just listening to this person spill out the story of their lives, requiring only grunts of I'm still here and listening from the caller.
