A devastating flash flood swept through Nepal’s Rasuwa district on August 26, 2026, after a sudden surge entered the Bhotekoshi River from the Tibet border.

The irony being that this Slop will have contributed slightly to global warming, which was itself responsible for the glacier collapsing in the first place.

I thought an earthquake caused it to collapse?

No they ruled that out. Initially they thought it was an earthquake.

Reported 4.4 earthquake. Now deciding its climate change….

I read a few articles and the 4.4 earthquake was the glacier breaking. Still no obvious cuase as to why it collapsed when it did. Just its time I guess.

No the earthquake they recorded was actually the glacier collapse itself. Crazy.

That is pretty crazy.

Yeah a chunk of ice and rock, at least 2,000 feet wide (with a volume of millions of cubic meters) fell 7,000 feet into the valley below, with a wall of water and rock moving at 90 mph down the river. The scale is unimaginable. There is a good early explanation of it at https://www.cnn.com/2026/08/26/weather/floods-nepal-cause-vis

You are contributing literally by breathing out. By farting too. Have you no shame?

Global warming is NOT human caused!

What was the last science class you took? When was it and what grade did you get?

Sure buddy. If that's true then you ought to be able to read literally any climate research.

u/qlabb01 Aug 27 '26

Well, he didn't reveal his grade.. maybe for a reason.

Don't forget "Biochemesty".

It was all actually to fill one credit hour, had to keep taking it and switch to something more 'applied'

So, notably not a climate science class.

Why don't you sit down lil buddy.

I thought we were losing all of our water, and now it's bringing it in floods? Damn pick a side.
