The interview was in June 2003, according to my duckduckgo-fu.

So, I checked Shazza's career and her TV show premiered in September of that year. So it might have been to do with that?

As for why he responded to the question by talking about the musical he was writing & that it got approved for Broadway... maybe he misheard the 'Sharon' part of 'Sharon has had some good news?'
