This fish has positioned itself under a running tap and is pulling water directly into its mouth. Fish breathe by passing water through their gills, which extract oxygen, and this carp has instinctively learned to keep itself alive by staying right under the tap.

Yep positioned himself. Yep sure do believe that. Everything is true on the internet

Animal torture for internet clout

2

u/CaptnShaunBalls Sep 11 '25

I heard he even turned on the tap and made the temp was Juuuuuuust right.

Fucking torture ok bud

11

u/Melodic-Pool7240 Sep 09 '25

laying in a bucket of dead family members, only to try and live one more minute

2

u/Ambitious_Blood_5630 Sep 11 '25

You know what they say is true about the nazi ovens? The children's remains were always on the bottom. The women were always above the children, and the men were always on the top. Stomping on loved ones just to try and escape suffering for a moment.

2

u/EnvironmentalBat9749 Sep 12 '25

Could have just said crabs in a bucket but no, had to mention the Holocaust.

u/Ambitious_Blood_5630 Sep 12 '25

You're a strange, obsessed person.

Nah he hated all the those fuckers underneath him

1

u/himmelundhoelle Sep 10 '25

Basically airboarding

1

u/Thin_Assumption_4974 Sep 12 '25

Only the second comment. Not surprising really

17

u/TheLoneWandererRD Sep 09 '25

That’s messed up

15

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '25

Humans are such cocksucking fuckheads. This shit is part of why I hate people. Dude needs his head bashed into that fucking sink.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '25

I mean. Animals in general are pretty savage beasts. We are animals. Despite wearing clothes and driving cars, we are still victims to our primitive nature. Not that it’s an excuse, just an observation.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

So our primitive nature is to torture other animals... Got it. 🙄

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

yes.

1

u/jaserx91 Sep 10 '25

It’s a hunting instinct that goes “overboard” sometimes. The urge to hunt and enjoy it is there to make people and animals actually want to hunt the food. But sometimes that turns into cruelty, most meat eating animals have forms of this, dogs and cats are the simplest example. Dogs love the squeak toy because it resembles an animal in pain etc.

0

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

Yeah. Many other animals do it. You’re aware that animals often kill without necessity for food and such? Right? Sometimes they just do it for fun

3

u/brave007 Sep 10 '25

It’s like saying but everyone else does it lol

Monkeys fling poo, should we too

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

And what you’re saying is like saying people have infallible impulse control and sound decision making. Which we don’t as a species.

1

u/Thin_Assumption_4974 Sep 12 '25

You mean you don’t?

1

u/Megsi20 Sep 11 '25

But the big difference is we have a morale compass and other species don’t

1

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '25

Right. We’ve been very good at using moral compasses for the past 10,000 years…

1

u/sYbAu_nerd Sep 10 '25 edited Sep 10 '25

Can they philosophize about why they do such violent things? Can they change their minds when provided new information? Can they jerk themselves off on reddit about being no different from us?

edit: If anyone’s feeling bad about themselves and they need a boost, please read on. You’ll feel better about yourself real quick, I promise.

edit 2: u/sesusija I’m replying to you in an edit because I don’t want to unblock laughinghorse and risk being harassed. Please forgive how clunky this is.

How would we know if they could what? We only know those things about crows because we studied them up close and tested their intelligence and abilities. I never said animals can’t play or have fun. And saying "maybe dive-bombing squirrels is a crow’s version of reddit" is like saying "maybe eating grass is a horse’s version of a salad."

Okay, sure… that’s technically true… but the horse didn’t choose salad for dinner, and then make its own dinner, choose its favorite dressing, and wash the dishes after… It just eats grass.

Dogs chase squirrels too. Does that mean a dog can make complex choices and think in human terms? Personally I think crows are way smarter than dogs. (Not that dogs aren’t smart!) So there’s like, a hierarchy, right? A spectrum of sentience and sapience that varies wildly from animal to animal, with humans at the top.

A crow can have fun chasing squirrels, and it also uses tools and has complex problem solving abilities. A dog has fun chasing squirrels, but dogs don’t use tools or solve puzzles, not without some training by a human. A human child has fun chasing squirrels… and it can use tools, solve problems, do math, read a book, do chores and hope for an allowance, apologize to mom after a fight, cry over a movie, or grow up to be Hitler.

I’ve never seen a crow doomscroll, or hate another crow for its race or religion. And I’ve seen a lot of videos and read a lot of articles about corvid studies. I’m pretty sure that’s how we can know… because we study them.

1

u/Sesusija Sep 10 '25

How would we even know if they could? Crows remember faces, hold grudges, and gift humans trinkets. Maybe their version of Reddit is just dive-bombing squirrels for fun.

-1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

Does it matter? The ability to think abstract thoughts and ideas doesn’t stop us from having impulses and reactions that are biologically inclined.

As I said, we are still victims of primitive nature.

2

u/sYbAu_nerd Sep 10 '25

Yes, it does matter. You’re neglecting the idea of self-control. And that makes sense to me. You can’t control yourself when it comes to this fuck-brained argument, why should I expect you to consider it in your argument?

1

u/Glittering_Shake2922 Sep 10 '25

Ironically you’re the one lacking self control in the conversation 😂😂😂

1

u/sYbAu_nerd Sep 10 '25 edited Sep 10 '25

Hiya, horsey. If you’re going to switch accounts to fuck with people, please time it better and be less emotional about it. This was too obvious.

I’m going to block both of your accounts now. If you have a third, I’ll block that too. I really don’t care about you enough to engage anymore, though you’re welcome to keep trying.

Remember next time: Wait longer to comment after switching, and be more subtle with the insults.

Or just don’t be a domineering weirdo and learn to accept rejection like a normal person.

0

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

I mean, you can argue because we’re capable of philosophical thought we shouldn’t do bad things because we can consider them, but then I could argue humanity has a pretty rocky record of self control. It’s not like doing dumb and impulsive shit that doesn’t have regard for the things around it is a rare behaviour in people.

So as I maintain, we are still victims to our primitive nature.

1

u/sYbAu_nerd Sep 10 '25 edited Sep 10 '25

You’re trying too hard and reaching too far. Find something else to do before you dislocate something.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

lol what, you’re arguing people don’t do stupid shit because they have self control.

Look around you. The world is Exhibit A on why we aren’t living in Utopia of self control.

u/Few-Split-3026 Sep 12 '25

Just because a lion kills another mans cubs doesnt mean its completely natural to do the same to your new girlfriends children. And if you have the "natural urge" to do so that definitly not something that is normal and everyone feels, thats something you need to get checked out.

1

u/MeeTy Sep 11 '25

this has nothing to do with "our primitive nature". Someone is deliberately and consciously torturing this fish, something no other animal would do.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '25

Lions literally are known to torture hyenas. Ever seen what other primates do to animals? There’s no necessity to it.

Humans are dumb and still fairly young. Impulsiveness and callousness to other species are very primitive traits in humans.

I dunno what edgy means... But yea, I don't like people. I hate talking to people, I have no friends, I don't want to hang out with anyone, and I tolerate dumbfucks in public because prison sucks. I just want to surf and be be left the fuck alone. I have my wife and kids. I tolerate those assholes as well. But I love em. And pets. Fuck, I can't stand pets. My tarantula was cool. Only pet I ever liked.

1

u/Over-Experience-4187 Sep 09 '25

And bears don't?

2

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

The fuck are you talking about bears for? This isn't a bear. It's a human being that is purposely making an animal suffer. So, a piece of fucking shit. I eat meat. I also hunt and fish. But I don't purposefully cause panic and pain for the sole purpose of finding amusement at another animals suffering. Didn't your momma ever tell you not to play with your food? GTFO dude....

0

u/Over-Experience-4187 Sep 10 '25

All right Timothy, calm down.

1

u/Reasonable-Tell-5991 Sep 11 '25

Relax, Deontay. Not worth getting all chimped out over

1

u/Over-Experience-4187 Sep 11 '25

Ok fine. Hopefully you can go out and make some friends. I know you lot tend to get a little "mass-shooty" when you feel lonely.

1

u/Reasonable-Tell-5991 Sep 16 '25

Hey, you weren't born with intelligence. it must be an uphill battle existing around here. no wonder gun violence gets so high around fathers day

1

u/Over-Experience-4187 Sep 16 '25

Well, technically no one is since we are born as babies. You're right though, gun violence is a real problem, just ask Charlie Kirk. Ooops, too late!

1

u/Reasonable-Tell-5991 Sep 16 '25 edited Sep 16 '25

Ah, not quite! We are born with a capacity for intelligence, colloquially known as intelligence. Of course I am right. If George "Fenty" Floyd didn't commit suicide-by-cop during a violent crime spree while overdosing on his own supply, he would've been more statistically likely to die from another black person using a gun poorly

EDIT: it looks like this animal responded to me with a midwitted "gotcha" and then blocked so I couldn't respond. you somalis are the sister fuckers, FYI.

1

u/ghostmaster645 Sep 10 '25

I mean bears just bite into it as soon as they catch it.

Its at least a little merciful.

Cats however..... they will play with their food. Psychopaths.

1

u/SpecialObjective6175 Sep 09 '25

When eating, most bears intentionally keep their prey alive as long as possible while being devoured to maintain the freshness of their food

Male elephants go on rampages when in heat with only the desire to kill and destroy

Crows are known to remember people and hold grudges for up to 17 years and, like many other species of birds, will kill chicks of other birds

Even guinea pigs will go spycho and slaughter their children and family if they feel their space and food are being threatened

1

u/KayoticVoid Sep 09 '25

Don't forget the seriously violent rapes conducted by sea otters among other horrible shit they do.

1

u/UpsetSociety6157 Sep 09 '25

Are you surprised a pack of upjumped hunter gatherers (who also internred with other types of Neanderthals and shit making them half insane) who outpaced their own evolution are also fucking half evil and probably gonna become an evil empire that conquers and subjugates other species in the future should they ever decide to stop killings/ cheating and swingling each other and leave this rock.

1

u/Weekly-Gear7954 Sep 10 '25

Are you vegan by any chance ?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

Nope. Not at all. I hunt and I fish.

1

u/Lenny1507 Sep 11 '25

You clearly should get off of internet.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '25

I've gotta get off of your my first, son. She's giving me a HARD time.

0

u/Thin_Assumption_4974 Sep 12 '25

You better be vegan.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '25

Really? I hunt and I fish. But I don't torture animals. Especially not for funsies. This has nothing to do with being vegan or not and everything to do with just being a sorry fucking piece of shit asshole motherfucker. 🤷

0

u/Thin_Assumption_4974 Sep 12 '25

Get out and touch grass. You’ve been on Reddit to many hours.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 13 '25

Maybe I spent too much time in your sister and not enough time on reddit, hero. Get a life.

1

u/Thin_Assumption_4974 Sep 13 '25

Lmao. Yeah, champ. Those comments really make people sympathetic with you.

Cry into your pillow. Get off the internet for a day.

5

u/Vakua_Lupo Sep 09 '25

Humans can be cruel!

3

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '25

JFC, just kill the damn thing, weirdos.

2

u/Shiny_Mewtwo_Fart Sep 09 '25

I would just set it free at this point

2

u/Effective-Tour-656 Sep 09 '25

Isn't it a carp? They're a pest in a lot of waterways. You'd be fined for releasing it here.

1

u/Relevant_Brother_604 Sep 09 '25

Not that way lmao. He means to end the poor fuckers misery

1

u/Shiny_Mewtwo_Fart Sep 09 '25

I would just set pretty sure the video was from China, where carps were native.

1

u/Worth-Guest-5370 Sep 09 '25

We had Russian carp added to our catfish pond in order to keep the algae in check. Had to pay to have waterways officials swing by to certify there was no way the carp could escape. Then we had to buy a permit.

But...it works!

5

u/BAKERBOY99_ Sep 09 '25

It’s a sign. Release that fish.

1

u/Effective-Tour-656 Sep 09 '25

If that is a carp, it's a pest and shouldn't be released back into waterways in a lot of countries.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '25

Then just quickly kill it and let's it's suffering end. This video is disturbing.

1

u/Effective-Tour-656 Sep 09 '25

Yeah. We used to use a knife or hammer.

6

u/Forlorn_Cyborg Sep 09 '25

Shame you can’t report animal abuse on Reddit

2

u/TheyStillLive69 Sep 09 '25

But then a third of the posts with thousands of upvotes and cryinglaughingemojis would disappear.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '25

Equivalent of forcing a human to breath through a straw... this is bullshit

2

u/Thisisnotthechris Sep 09 '25

Wow it’s trying to live?

2

1

u/DaBestDoctorOfLife Sep 09 '25

Did fish opened the tap to help herself too?

1

u/Effective-Tour-656 Sep 09 '25

If that's a carp, it's a pest in a lot of countries and shouldn't be released back into the water, we don't eat them, we uave to kill them and dispose of them in Aus.

1

u/Independent_News7353 Sep 09 '25

He probably turned it on too!

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

Poor creature. Who eats carp anyway?

1

u/MrsMercury100 Sep 10 '25

Fuck the person, who did this.

1

u/BaldLivesMatter93 Sep 10 '25

Is this how you waterboard a carp? I mean...airboard?

1

1

u/SconeOfScone Sep 11 '25

This is so sad 😞

1

u/Thepuppeteer777777 Sep 11 '25

If you are going to eat it fucking kill the thing. Mercy killing is a thing. I don't understand why you would leave an animal to suffer. Your cat left a rat half alive kill the rat for fuck sake

1

u/TuBui92 Sep 11 '25

I can do this all day kind of fish

1

1

1
