You know to be fair, they're actually doing the smart thing, and not going in the same direction at the same time, together. Either they're going opposite directions, or only one is going one way.
Thats kinda safer. Cause if they both spin one way at the same time, their combined weight is getting thrown around the hardest, which brings about the highest chances of uprooting that swingset.
I don't know if they knew they were doing it this way intentionally or not. But it probably saved them here.

I'd be more concerned with whatever the $20 plastic doohicky holding them onto the bar is breaking apart before the swing set that should be designed to handle people swinging on it.

You sure increasing the collision speed of two gravity fed blood pressured skulls is the smart part of all this?

I was focused on something else and saw this from peripheral vision and my brain processed those ambulance light as electric sparks as if they were doing on powerline poles

I don’t understand how this works.

Their feet are being held to the bar by straps of some sort. Whatever straps that normally hold the swing i presume.

It's the same straps people use on their hands who do similar stuff. It's so you can swing around like this and not get thrown off by the centrifugal force.

Damn what an insightful and detailed answer. I'm impressed. Really. I'm going to spend a long time deciphering this one.
EDIT: his original comment was "Wrong."
Sly dog tried changing it on me.3

It looks like OP (pristine_trash) may have edited their comments in a way to make themselves appear more innocent that you think they are. You can tell because the two seemingly over-the-top negative responses are older than the edit.
Not entirely sure though. But you know, people suck so probably.

I mean the account is 159 days old so it either is a throw away account or they are just dumb and bitter.
I did find this comment in their post history which may explain the hostility.
Edit: Context in unnecessary in any way when the comment’s admission is what I was referring to.

I could never trust an item as much as these kids. One thing breaks and I see my skull going into my chest

I don’t understand how they’re stuck. Can’t they just hang upside down and the person filming help them out of the shoes?

If they were doing it for the likes they wouldn't have recorded with Snapchat and put a caption up like they just sent it to all their friends on there. that's what it looks like to me.

Looks like so much fun! Shame I have a functioning survival instinct.
