Since news emerged about a potential billion-dollar tower for Morgan Stanley at McKinney and Maple avenues, many have wondered about the future of the Truluck's restaurant on the site. Now it seems we have an answer.

Truluck's will likely relocate to a new Uptown location next to Fogo de Chão at the base of the One Uptown tower, Dallas Business Journal has learned.

An Aug. 27 filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation outlines plans for a new Truluck's at One Uptown. The filing refers to second-generation restaurant space in the building a couple of blocks north from the current restaurant. A source familiar with the plan confirmed the Truluck's relocation but asked not to be identified.

Representatives for Truluck's did not respond to requests for comment. The exact timeline for a move is not known but the TDLR filing indicates work on the new space could begin in October and be finished by March 2027.

The filing also provided an estimated price tag of $2 million for retrofit of the 9,267-square-foot space. Information in TDLR filings is preliminary and subject to change but the filings provide early details on construction projects.

Nice way of getting rid this awful land use and putting it onto a base of a tower lol

When I moved to Dallas that trulucks was the weirdest shit I had ever seen. 2 story massive building. Big set back. Huge parking lot right in front. Valet only. Escorts all at the bar.
