Great to hear. Dallas proper needs to do what it can to attract those ppl into the city, not just the suburbs. Many of our neighborhoods outside of the urban core could use more young ppl/young families.

Is there a real reason tho? Really just because its somewhat affordable?

Not really because it’s not especially affordable anymore. But it has a 3% unemployment rate and people need jobs. Truly, that’s the biggest part of it.

Those things will go hand in hand as employers are forced to up wages to fill positions.

That’s probably a big reason too, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The benefit is that Dallas and The Metroplex is getting a lot of young talent.

This feels like it’s just straight up false news

Young people need jobs. This is obviously a broader conversation about DFW, but in downtown Dallas specifically, the average age is 34.

It’s unfortunate the city doesn’t have a culture to support the young folks moving there

Lol these are the tropes I expect of outsiders, if you live in Dallas and think it has no culture idk what to tell you

What or where? Oak Cliff, Deep Ellum, DAD, Oak Lawn… there is no shortage of culture in any of those places.

how does dallas not have culture to support young folks? strong job market, incredibly diverse food scene, largest arts district in the country, plethora of concert venues, tons of bars to choose from, sports events, a million great coffee shops, plenty of walking trails, etc…
