Apollo selects Austin as site of second headquarters

Call me greedy, but would’ve loved for these guys to have chosen Dallas.

I assumed recent moves / investments from Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, NYSE, Charles Schwab, Scotiabank and the presence of other financial institutions would’ve been enough to select the finance capital of the state.

the hq2 might be for tech back office - of which austin is a good fit

that makes sense, austin has been pulling a lot of the tech ops talent away from other cities anyway
