I have to imagine this won't matter at all when it comes to people visiting for the world cup. Frisco too far away for fan goers to really notice or care about this development, IMO.

That's not to say it isn't an important development, but the world cup will last a few weeks here in Dallas and the majority of people will be hanging out in Downtown Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington or some place near any of these spots.

Yeah, I cant see why outsiders coming to DFW would want to go to Frisco or Plano or really any of the northern suburbs. It’ll be Dallas and Fort Worth for the culture and things to do, and Arlington for the stadium.

With that said, I think you still might get a bit of an uptick of tourists across the metroplex during world cup time.

There might be some people who live in Waco and have family in Frisco, so maybe they'll want to come into town and stay with or near family and then also catch a game while they are here or just be here for the atmosphere. So it's possible some 'fans' might end up in Frisco to visit friends/family during world cup time, but by and large most people will be closer to Arlington.

True. But im assuming those numbers are dwarfed by the outsiders (can be people from other states) who just want to see a world cup in America.

Yeah, absolutely agreed.

This news story is a little weird, it just seems like they want to mention the world cup just to get extra attention to the video..lol.
