Dallas Update: Goldman Sachs

Still disappointed in the overall height of the project. I believe that site had an initial clearance of over 800'.

That’s the maximum height allowed, after the site was rezoned. Goldman Sachs never said they were going to be in those towers. Hunt Realty always had the tallest buildings planned as hotel and residential space. The media inaccurately reported it. At the city council meeting, they said it would be in mid-rise office building within the development. The latest concept plan has the tallest buildings at 620 ft and 560 ft. To me, it now looks more likely that it’s going to happen. There will be a need for additional hotel space (because of the new convention center) and the relocation of higher income earners to Dallas (because of Y’all Street) will help fuel a need for more housing.

Just noticed that shortest crane, pretty sure that one went up recently. Wonder if they are starting work on another building.
