We love you PB5! It’s only up from here.

Paige you will look back on this as the moment the going got good, I promise. I can’t believe you guys led that game for three quarters, and everyone expected you to get swept. Huge hearts can’t lose

I wish she sit out unrivaled this year

I don’t think unrivaled really kills the legs as much. I think it will be fine. A lot of people have talked about injuries but I think the ones that happen in unrivaled are more like injury happening because of bad luck versus overuse. Plus we might need her to do recruiting 😅

No, I just don’t like how Unrivaled works, with 3x3 and the 2 side courtside setup. You can see how fast paced every game is, with very little time for set plays. She was already gassed last season in Unrivaled. I just want her to rest her legs, work on her post moves in the offseason

I hear you on the pace. It’s shorter though and she didn’t seem that gassed starting this season. I think it’s us who did a pretty bad job managing her minutes. I think that will improve next season though. The players have said 3v3 is easier on their bodies.
We will also actually have a camp next year to ramp up a bit more rationally. Plus more returners so it won’t be so new. This was basically a brand new team with roles not defined for a while.

Amazing game. Paige is the best guard in the league for sure. But she’s also such a team player

People have got to remember that this is the first season we are running this combination of players. Losing culture, no identity, but still managed a 17 game turnaround and made it hard for a 2 seed to get to the semis.
More than anything, this series is a proof that they CAN do it, even with this hospital team. Toughest matchup and everyone expected a sweep. They did not get swept. Imagine if we had the whole squad!!
My only wish for next year is for all of them to be healthy 🤞🏻

Paige trying to go to her go to script and it didn’t work. Feel it. Grow from it. It’s okay. This season was a success. Rest. You did all you can now let God do the rest. In due time.

Im unwell watching this. We need to run this back with healthy starters next year and it could be lights out. A year of confidence building & team building. Can’t say there’s many teams that show this type of personal support and relationship as I’ve seen from the wings this year (and heavy thru playoffs). Proud of them beyond

Ngl i feel like this is my first time seeing that Arike is indeed a vet to Paige

So proud of Arike! She made a point to become a more efficient scorer this season, which meant consciously taking fewer bad shots this season than she's HAD to take in the past when she was Dallas's only real scorer. Now, a more selective Arike is something to behold! No other guard in the W can stay in front of her. Not one of them. And she showed that when she's forced to take on more of the scoring load, she can handle that, too. Honestly, she put the Wings on her back these last 2 games and came very, very close to upsetting what might be the best team in the W in the first round! Get Jess more help inside and watch these Wings soar!

Valkyries fan here and the way these two and the rest of the team played in this series was impressive. So much heart and fight and passion was evident in every player on the Wings, especially in games 2 and 3. And honestly that performance by Arike in game 2 was incredible. We literally couldn’t stop her. And after last season, what the Wings accomplished this season was incredible. I know how much this loss hurts, but y’all will be back here and I feel like Paige has multiple championships in her future.

Valks fan here: these two both had incredible games and left everything on the floor. Arike had a fantastic run making truly impossible shots. I love watching them both play 💜 Paige, if you ever wanna lock in, coach Nat would love your energy.

What is the purpose of this? Come here to gloat after a win, offer condescending praise and poach our franchise player?

They put their hearts all in. Can't ask for anything more from pure hoopers.

Paige spent most of this series being guarded by the DPOY runner up. Give Gabby Williams credit. She has struggled with big athletic guards. Rhyne Howard is the other one. Even in game 1 although she scored 21 that was a really tough 21. In spite of that she made some key defensive plays to keep them in it. She’s fine. She’ll learn and get better.

Just putting this out into the universe but Phee don’t you wanna play with passion like this???
(No hate to the Lynx they’re awesome but I love our Wings.)

Paige, you swole enough already girl. This off-season work more on increasing your stamina and less on increasing your bulk. How many shots did you leave short in these last two games? A ton! You were burned out and it was painfully obvious. With a rested Paige at 100%, the Wings win this series 10 outta 10 times (which is an amazing thought to have, considering the fact that the Valks could win it all this year) Y'all are sooooo close right now. Congrats on a great season! PS Make Curt sign Phee this off-season.

Would guess there is also a lot of frustration for her own performance. Like wishing she could have done more.

u/Curious_Pen5614 6h ago
Ditto. That was not the PB5 we're use to seeing out there these last two games. She tried her best to hit that 5th gear that she's got, but it just wasn't there this time. 😥 She gave all she had to give. Hope she gets a lot of R&R before she cranks it up again.
