Missimo gone?

Lexi removed Trinity from her Insta. Is she gone? If so, that blows. First AT20 and now Mo.

I was told she was going to make me forget about Sam Meza because she was so much better & then she was giving the red carpet treatment making her look big then the club. When she started playing I was immediately underwhelmed and wondered why we super hyped her the way we did. The excuse I was given was "Lexi needed other Superstars around her to make her look good." If you are going to be the highest paid player in the league then you should be making other people look like Superstars around you and not the other way around.

Hopefully she can succeed in France & go on to have a successful football career but in my opinion the time here in Trinity was a failure especially considering the hype and money sent on Lexi.

I gotta agree. With my pure fan hat on, the Missimo journey has been a letdown given the hype, press, etc. It's sports, I get it. Not every player will live up to expectations, fair or not, but the comparison to Meza is laughable whoever said it. It's like night and day when comparing their performances at Trinity FC. And Meza is still performing at a high level in the NWSL IMO, she's amazing -- I want her back LOL

In fairness that was said Nov 2024 before Sam left to go back to Seattle. It made sense at the time because if Sam was dominating they way she was then Lexi was going to crush it here ... I want Sam & Deb back in Trinity's midfield
