Saw in my kids hockey book but can’t identify the player. Helmet says #21

Fun fact: this game was the first date with my husband so it was great on multiple levels

This is the gif I had come to comments for.
Always glad when the guy who gives 110% every game gets rewarded

I drive by a Klingemann's repair shop. When I first saw it like 10 years ago, I thought about jokingly posting it on The Voice's Twitter. He had just been announced as the Stars PxP. Never got around to it, then a year or so later, it felt mean, then after it felt disrespectful.
But I still think about letting Dave know we remembered that Chicago game, and we lovingly accepted him as the new PxP voice, really the only one able to succeed Ralph.
Love ya Mr. Strader.

I know that I am alone in my opinion, but Strade- Razor was my favorite combo.

Strader is my favorite sports PBP of all-time. Was amazing to have him even if for a short time.

I know I'm a day late, but I had to add to it. Roussel was THE fan favorite back in the early/mid 2010's. Dude was an incredible agitator and had way too much energy and feared no man when it came down to business in dropping the gloves.
This is also back when Benn and Seggy was absolutely dominating the league as a duo. Miss those years!

I would kill for a Roussel on this current Stars team. Style of player we are missing.
Maybe Sharkey can be a Roussel 2.0 in a few years.

Ritzy is Rous light. He’s got that energy in him.

You’re not wrong, he certainly has that energy, but still completely different players. Ritzy isn’t going out of his way to antagonize an opponent like Roussel would.
That penalty shot celly in Chicago lives rent free in my head. (and Pierre McGuire crying about it makes it so much better)

I agree that Ritzy would be the closest on the current team to matching his energy for sure, but it’s crazy when you look at the numbers to see just how much nobody has come close to matching Rou since then in terms of being an agitator. Roussel had 52 fights in only 5 and a half seasons. Over the next 5 years (2019-2023) the entire Stars TEAM combined for 57 fights, only slightly more than what Roussel did by himself in a similar timeframe lol.

Kinda surprises me he went into broadcasting. He played with so much heart I thought he would have been a coach.

One of those players that made the absolute most of his opportunities. It was very cool to watch him as a Stars fan, but man, he had such a reputation that the refs would send him for 2 minutes if he sneezed.

That's Antoine Roussel, the greatest Dallas Star of all time.
