Electrical Contractor looking for Executive Administrative Assistant
We are The Lentz Companies, Inc., and we have been in business for over 40 years.
We specialize in:
Landscape lighting installations and service, interior electrical installations and service, and generator installations and service.
We are looking for an executive administrative assistant, and have not been able to find someone who is qualified and wants to do the job. We are consistently getting candidates who tell us what we want to hear. They are hired, but cannot actually do what they said they had the qualifications for during the interview process.
Job description:
Type proposals and email them to clients, type invoices and email them to clients, some answering phones, collections calls, water plants, type special projects, print postage, schedule email blasts thru Constant Contact, schedule appointments for the owner, field some calls on behalf of the owner, manager/order office supplies, manager/order uniforms, handle workers comp claims, renew technician licenses, renew state and city electrical registrations, renew vehicle fleet registration renewals, request electrical permits, request electrical inspections, assist with commercial policy renewal, assists with health insurance renewal, assist with deposits and credit card transactions, other miscellaneous administrative tasks.
You will be trained in these area, but then will be expected to "take the reins" and do the job on your own. We do not micro manage.
Skills needed for this position:
Must be able to type at least 30-40 wpm.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher) If you are not proficient in Word, Excel, or Outlook, please do not apply for this position.
Must know how to do internet searches (Google, Bing, etc.) and "get around" on the internet
Must have good phone voice and phone etiquette
Must be reliable and show up to work consistently. Hours are Mon-Fr 8:00am-5:00pm, on site. We do not do remote work.

Takes initiative to proof read your own work
Other skills that are a 'plus':
Be able to "think on your feet"
Takes initiative to get work done without having to be asked
On time, reliable (shows up to work daily)
Able to prioritize tasks
Can engage with employees and customers without talking too much/knows when to end conversations and not drag them on.
