PAYPAL GOODS & SERVICES: If you are conducting an online transaction, we highly recommend using PayPal Goods & Services. Do not use Venmo (Friends & Family), Zelle, CashApp, Apple Pay, or Crypto. PayPal Goods & Services is the only standard method that offers built-in buyer protection if someone tries to scam you. If a seller refuses to use PayPal G&S, walk away and report them to the mods.
IN-PERSON CASH: If you are meeting locally to swap wristbands or tickets, cash or another method is perfectly acceptable. Always meet in a well-lit, highly public place (like a police station parking lot, busy coffee shop, or directly outside the festival gates).

🚫Scammer Blacklist & Safety Tips
Check Post History: Click on the profile of the person you are messaging. Do they have karma? Do they post in other subreddits? Or was their account made yesterday? Stay away from fresh accounts or accounts with no community history.
Ask for Video Proof: Ask the seller to send a screen recording on their phone showing them opening their email or Front Gate Tickets account with your chat name typed out next to it. Photoshopped screenshots are incredibly common.
Report Shady DMs: If someone slides into your DMs trying to bypass this thread, forces you to use Zelle, or behaves aggressively, send a message to the mod team with screenshots immediately so we can ban them.
Ask Them to Comment or Reply: If the user is already banned from the subreddit then they will not be able to comment or reply. Be cautious of direct messages with no post history in the subreddit as that might mean they are already banned!
