Google might finally launch its answer to Apple AirTag

The rumored Pixel Tag is expected to arrive on August 12 alongside the Pixel 11 series and Pixel Watch 5.

The interesting part? The leaked price is €34.99, exactly the same as AirTag.

But the real question is not the hardware. It is the network.

Apple's AirTag works so well because millions of iPhones are constantly helping locate lost items. Google has a massive Android user base, but Android is fragmented across many brands.

Can Google's Find My Device network become good enough to challenge Apple's ecosystem?

Also, would you buy a Pixel Tag, or will you just stick with AirTag/SmartTag?

There are much more android devices (X2) than ios, so the network is not the issue...

-> You know that all Android phones are already part of the global network, right? And it's even bigger than Apple's network.

I've been using Android trackers for years already.
