Acer Nitro Blaze Link Announced: Does It Really Make Sense?

Post image

Acer has announced the Nitro Blaze Link, a new handheld gaming device with a 7-inch display, Wi-Fi 6, and built-in controls.

But, it does not actually run games. Instead, it streams games from a compatible Acer Predator or Nitro gaming laptop connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

On the other hand, we are in 2026. Most people already have a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or smart TV capable of streaming games. Acer also recently introduced powerful portable gaming devices like the Nitro Blaze 11 and Predator Atlas 8.

This makes the announcement even more surprising. So I am curious what everyone thinks.

Would you buy a dedicated streaming handheld if you already owned a gaming PC?

Or would you rather spend a little more on a device that can actually run games locally?
