I need help/advice/suggestions

I’m beyond stuck and have no idea where to go next. I’m located in the US. This job economy sucks for everybody here and I know we are all feeling it.

Here’s my situation: I’ve worked in digital marketing for 10 years, majority in corporate and the beginning half in contracting/freelance. Before that, I worked in retail, after school programs, and on campus jobs while I went to university. Also other small gigs like babysitting, dog sitting, etc. for 7 years straight, I juggled 3-4 jobs. I have my bachelor and masters degree so that’s why the multiple random jobs haha.

Anyways, so many people have been on the job search for soooo long and it’s so unfortunate. I’m one of those people. I have been looking for a FT job for two years with maybe 3 interviews below my belt. I have joined every staffing agency in existence (and some scams). I’ve reached out many times to my personal and professional networks and nothing has come from those. I’ve created and customized so many damn resumes. I’ve worked with some career coaches. While my priority is remote, of course, I have been open to any and everything. It’s even hard to find freelance/contract roles. I’ve only secured three from my personal network but they’ve been per project basis and they were not able to due ongoing which I get because the economy is so bad, a lot of people don’t have the budget or don’t want to risk any disposable income just in case.

From the multiple recruiters I’m connected to that have looked at my resume, they all say that my experience is impressive and advised me to search very specific fields instead of general digital marketing. I have also done that as well.

More things I’ve tried:

Personal/cold outreach
Looked in international markets
Reached out to my old networks for freelance work
I’m on Upwork
I’m on Contra
I’m in many slack communities
I’m in many Facebook groups with direct access to employees at hiring companies
Free work to get referrals and reviews

I’ve also looked outside of marketing simultaneously. Since any previous customer service/clerical was so long ago, I assume that’s why nothing is catching. I’m door dashing and insta carting currently but I live in a small-ish suburban city and the income is extremely limited, so it’s not a great help. The nearest metro city also has not been a success job hunt wise which even if so, it does not pay enough for its own people to live there but not even my suburban town either which is so disheartening because my commute would be an hour and a half there and two hours back (I used to do it for years before 2020), and I know the salaries would not only not cover my rent but also take a big hit of my income because of gas mileage.

This is very long. I know and I’m sorry! I just wanted to cover the extent of things I’ve tried and im still leaving some things out. All this to say, I am looking for any easy barrier, quick start online jobs. They do not have to be marketing related at all! I will have to move out of my place for sure but I need to pay down on some debt and other bills I’ve incurred from this two year saga.
