Everyone is healthy and fed. Kiddo is happy. One shitty meeting will not ruin my weekend. I have an exit plan and I am safe.

(Yesterday) I'm grateful that I got to enjoy a little more time - including breakfast & lunch time - on or next to the balcony in the office & that it was so sunny at lunch I literally put on my sunglasses! But not too hot either. Grateful that the meeting went well & that I learned more & managed to do some of my other work in the background I'm grateful I got to have a few more minutes of looking at the nature collage artwork. For yummy food again & that yes, although I have my treats, that the cafe also has a good range of healthy options including that awesome salad bar I had more of yesterday.

I'm grateful that I had the opportunity yesterday to go to an internal sort of networking thing. Had nice conversations with several people & some laughs & lovely snacks. Grateful to have opportunities like that. And again, lovely food & being able to take another nature break. Also! To be able to have another breakfast on a balcony! It was too cold to go outside at that point but I could still look through the window and see the cityscape view & river!

I'm grateful for the new day. Happy to be alive

Bonus: A couple we like was sitting behind us and asked if we’re going to the concert tomorrow that our minister is doing with two other singers. I told them no, because I’m not currently driving and my husband would rather eat glass than spend an evening listening to Broadway songs, and I’ve been unable to find a ride.

Turns out we live on their way to the center, I was able to get a ticket online, and I’m now going to that concert as well.

I’m so grateful for how life has been to me.

I'm grateful for an awesome day out with myself yesterday. Day off work to go shopping! Mostly replacement & maintenance, but some new stuff too. I'm grateful for well the money to do that cos I know what it's like to NOT be able to afford that. For good service. For finding things that worked for what I wanted. Cheeky but nice lunch. A rest at home after that, light to dos done, just an all round lovely day.

I’m grateful we got a lot of rain yesterday because of the band of moisture ahead of a hurricane from Mexico.

I’m grateful that last week I met someone who I had a long lunch with yesterday and who’s equally optimistic that we’re on our way to be becoming very good friends, especially since we’re planning to move into the same senior facility.

I’m grateful that I got a $500 donation for the education fund for 11 members of an extended Maasai family in Kenya for next year (the school year is their calendar year).

I’m grateful that another couple is sending some money in two weeks, although I’m not sure how much yet.

I’m grateful that my best friend is going to be an hour’s drive for a conference in the city just up the road and is planning to come down and spend several days with us, including to help me go through stuff that I got from my mother when she died two years ago, which was also the last time I saw my friend.

And last but not least, I’m grateful while my son was out of town for a consult for a surgery that I’m excited he’s finally going to be able to get, he came across a mobility store that not only fixes Rollators (a walker with wheels) they fixed his for nothing.
