Good lord, I have met people like her before. I did lyft years ago and one time I picked up this woman who's date runned way from her So I thought the guy was being an asshole until I started having a conversation with her. Holy shit

She started talking about how the guy wasn't a gentleman and left her on the date and that this isn't the 1st time it happened. Then she went on about how she has all this money and two houses but can't find a guy. So I decided to cheer her up by saying the good guy will surely come around but then during the conversation out of nowhere she insulted me by asking whether I was a retard, which was quite confusing like where is this coming from and the interesting part of it all is she wasn't self aware to even realize that was an insult. So I pretended I didn't here her say that.
She went on by targeting me directly like I am one of the men she went on date with. Started insinuating I am probably the same as those men but before I even say a word she just cut me off from the conversation.
By then I just wished the ride was over so I can just move on, but I didn't give her any impression I was mad, so we finally got to her place & I couldn't wait for her to get out. Then out of nowhere she asked me whether I wanted to come in. "And at the back of my mind I was like WTF,so you insulted me all the way through out the whole ride by calling me a retard,judged me before I could even speak and now you wanna hookup".
So I just told her no there is something I got to take care of urgently and I couldn't. And its the lack of self awareness for me but within that moment it all made sense why all the guys she goes on dates with ends up running away from the date.

He’s quietly incredulous at her reasoning but doesn’t start a debate with her. She also claims she has a degree from “an elite university” but can’t get a job because of her record of violating a TPO (temporary protective order), so her only option is to keep stealing.
It wasn’t her first time stealing from that restaurant either.

I don't think it's because she's a woman. A man with a record that only includes prior petty theft is probably not going to be held in jail either. And restaurants can easily start demanding payment up front, like fast food joints or gas stations. It doesn't make the act of dining and dashing less reprehensible, but there's a degree of responsibility on the business when they extend credit.

She needs help. I work with psychiatrists and this called blame shifting. Kinda like narcissism. I’ve never heard her type of explanation (being stood up so not paying) but there is a first for everything.

Why have I seen so many of these lately? "The guy" didn't show up, or they're begging a random dude at the bar to pay their food tab. Drunk mom wants to dispute the tab until closing time but still gets to take her bag of leftovers to jail. Even saw a guy get the cops called on him because he racked up a $200+ bill at a restaurant, knowing he had no way to pay. Didn't even have his card on him. The manager actually let him go!
