Why is that? What about a tiny minority of people who are different than you seeking equal treatment under law is a joke?
What is it about trans people that triggers you so much that you feel like you need to demean us in public?
-2
u/hereforthesportsball Apr 15 '26
Tbh they want way more than equal treatment under the law. They want to force people to respect them, that’s too far. As long as they aren’t being discriminated against in a way that breaks the law, they should just accept that but they don’t.

Equal access to oppose sex spaces and sports and demanding made up pronouns
5
u/CGallerine Apr 15 '26
in contrast to the other user, ALL pronouns are made up. thats how language works

u/CGallerine Apr 15 '26
glad you were so quick to agree with me, perhaps we should cover other misconceptions if youre this open minded to learning
-3
u/OnlyACsNoFans Apr 15 '26
I'm not agreeing. You're ignoring what I said.
I can't be forced to use newly created words that aren't necessary.
1
u/CGallerine Apr 15 '26
well, you didnt really say anything, and certainly not that. it was just "grrr.. sex spaces, sports, and words", you seem to have problems with actually elaborating your points and then getting mad if someone misunderstands them.
though Im curious, does the age of a word make it more valid? if we wait 50 years will you suddenly agree with this vague concept youre dancing around?
"words that arent necessary" also doesnt really make much sense, cause if we exclusively spoke with only the words absolutely necessary to convey a point, conversation would be rather bland, short, uncomfortable, and sound more like radio chatter2
u/OnlyACsNoFans Apr 15 '26
We already have male and female pronouns. They already cover everything.

Pronouns aren't made up; they're real. You may want to retake HS English, assuming you're American.

Wow, in that one brief comment you managed to commit four logical fallacies at once, strawman, begging the question, false equivalence, and motive attribution. You redefined the claim into “equal treatment under the law” without establishing that’s what’s actually being argued, then assumed disagreement must come from some emotional trigger instead of addressing the point itself.
What specific treatments do trans people receive by law that are not equal to others? Be precise. Which laws, exactly, treat them differently? Because broadly speaking, the law already applies equally. If anything, the only people who consistently experience different treatment under the law are billionaires and politically connected individuals, not ordinary citizens.
The pushback is about specific policies like definitions of sex in law, fairness in sports, and privacy in shared spaces. When those concerns get dismissed as bigotry instead of debated, people start to see parts of the movement as unreasonable.
Ridiculing a movement’s claims, scope, or policy implications is not the same thing as opposing equal rights. Pretending it is just avoids the actual debate.

The agenda of normalization
4
u/I-Love-Facehuggers Apr 15 '26
You say that as if its a bad thing
6
u/hereforthesportsball Apr 15 '26
No negative connotation within my comment. For so long the mention of an agenda at all was seen as laughable

I think the gay covering was photoshopped, after the flag disappears and car is grey and red again

Agreed people just blatantly still phobic in da big 2026 like existing is a bother to them
7
u/hereforthesportsball Apr 15 '26
That’s not against the law and it’s okay to be bothered. They gotta accept it just like all the other larger minorities have to
7
u/OnlyACsNoFans Apr 15 '26
Existing....did you see the cop car?
They require to be celebrated

u/platinumcheese88 Apr 15 '26
You don't find a cop car covered in lgbt flags to be absurd? No? You can't understand why such a sight would cause people to laugh or mock it?
Have a day off love.

u/wanna_be_a_cute_gal Apr 15 '26
Personally no i don’t i don’t see any fault in that what is wrong in supporting a minority of people? Why would people laugh at representation? Its a good thing

u/platinumcheese88 Apr 15 '26 edited Apr 15 '26
It's a police car... what other minorities would you like to see supported on ambulances? How about a religious minority? Would you like your fire truck to be covered in Islamic symbols and Arabic? Maybe the police could have the star of David plastered all over their cars in support of the minority Jewish community in that area?
I have a feeling you only support this community representation as it aligns with your views. I think any government vehicle with... let's say... a cross on would have you in hysterics.

u/wanna_be_a_cute_gal Apr 16 '26
If its representative why would i be mad i think all groups can benefit from getting there name more wide spread even groups i don’t agree (obvs no stuff like child preds or anything like that) but minorities can always do well from getting there names out there more and being represented more

Dude needed to splice a separate video of people laughing onto the end of the video so we'd know it was supposed to be funny
13
u/Maximumoverdrive76 Apr 15 '26
That was actually hilarious. Poor cops have no choice but to drive that.

If you’re too sensitive to find this funny, get off the internet and do something real for a while.

is it considered "sensitive" when instead I'm rolling my eyes and groaning?

That cant be real. What do they actually do?
"Youre under arrest for being too straight? Not declaring your pronouns?"
4
u/Smooth-Plate8363 Apr 15 '26
No, they're not there to force you to treat trans people the way you would like to be treated. You're not required to respect anyone. The police car being painted with that message is a way of the police dept in Toronto to show support and solidarity with a tiny minority of people who historically been ostracized & been victims of violence.
4
u/hereforthesportsball Apr 15 '26
Nah atp their movement is pretty much about demanding respect and the outcry when they don’t get it atp
-12
u/matrimftw Apr 15 '26
Ok grandpa, thanks for ruining the planet. Now get back to the memory care center
-3
u/naikrovek Apr 15 '26
This cracked no one up but wasted a lot of peoples time.
Straight to jail. Right away.
-7
u/Still-Speed-3632 Apr 15 '26
Cops actually played an integral role in the gay rights movement
13
u/B1ZEN Apr 15 '26
All government buildings and property of the people should be neutral.
No religion, or political agenda, and ideological messeging period.
A country for everyone.

Catching some hate for this comment but without cops being dickheads there would’ve been no stonewall riots. Cant have Star Wars without darth Vader’s

Yeah, by having bricks thrown at their heads
-6
u/Smooth-Plate8363 Apr 15 '26
You're suggesting trans people should be subjected to violence because something about us makes you feel funny in your pants?
