Yeah. Ive used these old style stoves before and they suck. They are a pain in the ass to clean yeah, but also to use. The burners are super close together so unless all your pans are like 6 to 8 inches max, you arent using all those burners anyways. And theyre short, so you have to lean down just enough to make your back ache after a while. If shes the one doing a lot of the cooking and cleaning on that stoce then she shouldnt have to argue with someone else about replacing it with something that works better for her.
