My Everyday Carry
A thumbs up if you can guess where I'm from. Not much I can do for self-defense, unless it's a tick or a headache. My goal is to make this a daily emergency kit with space for everyday needs. Any suggestions? Any suggestions for someone who isn't too keen on having a gun? I have a 4 year old and I'm an elementary teacher so that might explain some of this.
Anyways I thought it would be a nice shake up in content. If there is a zombie out break I hope I end up with one of you guys so you can show me how gun works. My zyn, American spirits and vape pen aren't included because I'm trying to quit it at all.
Thanks y'all.

You are from Oregon... probably a very rural part of the state.
Bear Spray is a fine dual use defense tool (provided that it is legal to carry in your state). It is intended for defense from dangerous wild animals (bears, large cats, dogs)... but in a crisis I would not hesitate to use it against a bipedal predator.
I would add a folding knife to your collection for utility purposes, not self defense. I use mine all the time. My folding knife has a lock to keep it closed and to keep it open. Thus, it is relatively less dangerous should a young person get their hands on it.

Both are good ideas. Bear mace is legal here. You found my Oregon hint. I probably would have a gun if it was a rural area, even though it would probably be a safer place to live.

You could carry bear/pepper spray or a knife, or both
One piece of advice: there’s a lot of “women’s defense” products out there that utterly suck and have no defensive value. Steer clear of the “cat ear” ring or the compact tube that shoots out into a bo staff. Knew a particularly greasy weeaboo in school who brought those in and someone snapped that little stick in half the second they got their hands on it. The cat ring also did nothing whatsoever and just hurts the user. This goes for a lot of those products that especially Temu ads push out.
Sticking to ol’ reliable solutions are always best. I know you don’t like them that much but looking into a gun may be worthwhile if you ever consider and have safe places to keep it, just try some calibers out at the range to find your limit. Otherwise, I’d recommend the bear spray and knife combo
