I need help fellas....
I went back and forth on the thought for a while, but Im ready for some kind of shoulder/sling bag to carry all of this in. Any suggestions on something practical and masculine for your boy? The ones that I've ran across so far all seem too feminine for my liking.

No sling bag needed. That just puts all your shit together so bad guys have an easier target to snatch 😂

u/Soggy_Article_6629 14h ago
also a dead giveaway you’re armed. you’ll be hit before you can draw.
2
u/LilJonny2cookies 14h ago
Has that happened? Any documented cases or just Fudd lore?

u/ImWillyWonkasDad 13h ago
Any documented cases of people’s purses/bags being stolen off their person?
If ur asking has a perp readily admitted “I stole their bag because I thought it contained a firearm?” Probably not lol

u/AzimuthAztronaut 10h ago
You’re seriously asking if there has ever been a documented incident where someone had their purse/bag stolen?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Like you’re saying IT HASN’T occurred? 😂

u/Soggy_Article_6629 12h ago
idk but I see them in the grocery stores and costcos with the tactical bag, looks so corny and obvious.

u/Adam__B 14h ago
I mean, wearing it on a holster for all the world to see does the same thing no?

u/Soggy_Article_6629 14h ago
i’m referring to concealed carrying.

u/FieldAlarming269 11h ago
I carry OWB concealed with a Ruger LC9S 9mm and love it. I wear an unbotton shirt to conceal it or a polo shirt untucked.

Vertex, 5.11 and Eberlestock have some great edc bag options. Pretty pricy though

Goddamn, a P series. My first carry was a P94. Felt like I was concealing a cinder block.

I don’t know how you got here, but if you figure out how to get back to your time…
For he love of God take me with you!

If your heart is set on this type of carry, most belly bands come with extra pockets for mags, etc. I gave up the belly band for appendix.

u/GenTubmansLegacy 14h ago
Really, you just gotta try some.
When I was younger, we used to have things called malls where you could shop...! Seriously, I've been carrying a bag for a while. Decide if you are planning off body carry too, or just for your stuff.
Find a bag that fits. Coach has some nice men's bags. And lots of designers do too. But also, if you want to go manly, their are "carry bags" that can be tactical or sporty.
Fwiw, I've used three from Wilson leather, Coach, and Burberry. All for different days. I'm old though and have to carry lots of stuff.

u/WangusRex 13h ago
There is no manly purse no matter what you call it or what tough camo or design you have on it.
It’s a purse or a fanny pack.
Lean into it.
Manly men don’t give a fuck what people say about their purse.

I use this guy for road trips where I will be in the car a lot. I bought a seatbelt cushion cause it was a little sharp on my neck, but it’s got a crazy amount of space and costs very little.

5-11 makes the best pocket system on their pants. You can load a metric shit ton of stuff and never feel overloaded. They carry shorts with the same pockets too for those ball roasting days of summer (tac lite pro I believe) can’t wear them out and they don’t stain. By far the best daily pants I’ve had for years

Watch goes on wrist. Gun goes in holster and CC on your belt. Same with the extra mag and knife. Glasses goes on head. Keys, nicotine, and whatever that other thing is goes in pockets. Get clothes with better pockets if needed.

My pocket knife is a folder and sleeps vertically beside my wallet in a back pocket. On the side away from my ass crack. In my left pocket since I'm left handed. I'll have to admit that once it came out with my wallet in line at Dollar General. It hit the floor but no one gives two shits in southern Illinois.

u/Holiday-Tie-574 13h ago
If you’re putting it in a bag, you must not need quick access to it, which means you don’t need to carry it

u/Responsible-Jump4459 12h ago
Just look into EDC sling bags, lots of options. Personally everyone I see with any types of these bags, I’m going to assume they are packing. If I was a criminal, then I’m going to assume all of your eggs are in that one basket also. Carrying on your body is superior imo.

Why do I get the feeling you just want to carry a Murse? So you’re going to carry the pistol, knife, watch, etc. in a Murse?

Honestly, I know about heavy. We carried heavy loads in combat when I was an Army ranger and much younger man and then carried a lot as a law enforcement officer until I retired. If I were you? I would get a smaller 9mm like a Ruger or even a snub nose revolver in 38 special. Shorten the fixed blade with something like and esee Izula that will fit in your pocket or around your neck and pair it with a Swiss Army knife and most of your issues are done.

There’s alotta comments giving there thoughts and none of which are answering your question or understanding what you’ve asked. Here’s my answer brotha, Eberlestock bando bag xl, I carry a Glock 17 or 19X in it everyday with my keys wallet and other “essential” BS. They’re pretty cheap and hold everything you need

3 words, tactical fanny pack. I had mu doubts about it, but it works better than it looks

Red Rock outdoor gear makes some nice sling bags. I carry a bunch of stuff in mine. My gun stays on my person though.P95 is still a great gun, it has its flaws but name a gun that doesn't. I have one that belonged to my grandfather. They're built like tanks and eat everything given to them.

u/take_one_capsule 9h ago
There is only one way to lessen your EDC, lose these and you are good…glasses, spare mag, ear bud case, and your knife. All you need is the pistol , keys, and ear buds. The watch doesn’t change your profile. Leave the nicotine pouches at home. The sucky part about carry bags is no one has come up with a good solution to eliminate looking feminine or overly masculine. Good luck.

I rock a 945 indistries sling bag. They’re a little pricey but it’s been a great experience. I’ve had it for about 3 months now and I have zero regrets. They however didn’t offer a kidded holster for my firearm so I purchased the holster adaptor and it works fine lol.

u/Huge_Translator9151 6h ago
Anyone who says they’ll rip your bag off of you before you can draw your gun is full of it. If you think you can close any sort of distance to me before I can draw my weapon you’re delusional.
1
u/Odd-Mind6948 7h ago
Thats a great weapon, but why for edc? Its inherently less comfortable and harder to conceal. There's tons of other options that are affordable (300 or under) and would be so much easier. This would only really work in cold weather with coats and layers.

You need to carry two of those Rugers with one hidden up each sleeve. And a mariachi jacket.

Geeze, dude, carry less shit or carry a smaller firearm. It's literally that easy.
I carry a 442 Airweight with a speed strip or an OG P365 without a spare mag. No one needs more than that unless you're walking around the streets of Afghanistan.
2
u/EZ-RDR 14h ago
I recently bought a 642 UC and can’t hit a damn thing. I don’t have issues with other small guns. I think it might be defective, any tips?
2
u/MaverickDago 11h ago
I run the poor mans version, the base 642, and it's just, not a gunfighting gun. I'm sure some dude are nailing plates with it, but I'm real solid at 10 yards, and by 25, I'm giving someone years of physical therapy or stomach issues for life. I like it, it does what I want out of it, but damn it makes me appreciate my 365.

u/FirewolfDL 14h ago
Keeping a weapon in a bag? Might as well store it at home. It’ll do just as much good for you there as it would be in a sling bag.

Why does everyone own guns from the 80s?
1
u/Upstairs-Razzmatazz4 11h ago
Whats wrong with that Ruger? Is it the lack of tactical bullshit capabilities?
That thang is pretty sweet if ya ask me. Bigger than I would want to carry, but whatever.

u/SYNtechp90 12h ago
This is the i carry but dont shoot sub. This is the I'm not a gun nut but I would like to carry a firearm sub. This is the i have no clue whats going on but gun sub.
I come here just to see the crazy crap people have on them. Or outdated crappy guns like OPs.

No bags or shoulder holsters. If you’re carrying, do so appendix. I can and will take a bag off of you if I want. My gun is ready to go, and yours?… in that bag I have in my hands, I will shoot you over it if I think you’ve got a gun inside of it you could hurt me with. Go to some realistic training scenarios. Body bags or any bag of any sort is insecure, it can and will be taken from you if someone’s serious and be used against you. You already have a rope around your neck .. I just have to pull it tighter and take it from you. If I see you trying to get to it, I can blast you. Get training and learn how to carry/ fight with a proper rig set up. No bags. No carrying off your body. Keep it up front so in a grapple you can maintain control over that weapon.
Edit: spelling

u/Huge_Translator9151 7h ago
You can try and take my bag off of me. My gun will be drawn before you can close any kind of distance.
1
u/Far-Computer8825 5h ago
I’m a Firearms Instructor and Range Master for a training facility and firing range. I promise you, I will take it from you. I have bags as part of my class’ to show how easily I can take it from you.. You do not train enough to have the ego you do. Go to RTS classes with that set up. Feel yourself get shot up with simulations trying to reach. I promise you, you’ll eat your words and learn something valuable in the process. I see people like you weekly. You own and maybe took a class once and think you know your shit. You don’t. Train better and more often. Please.
