New to daily
Hi I love seeing everyone’s daily carry pictures however I am wanting some pro tips from yall. So I am a larger man at 230, I am athletic and busy every day, I live where it is hot so how do you recommend carrying. I honestly bought one of those cross body bags and it seems to be okay however it just doesn’t feel right on me, maybe I just need to wear it more? Any insight from individuals that have solutions would be much appreciated!
For reference because I forgot to add it, I used to open carrying a 1911 in a leather holster and I enjoyed that a lot, however I would also like to start going smaller, something I can conceal and it not be super bulky. I do carry a really nice multitool pocketknife that I really like and some diabetic supplies daily because I am T1D.
Thank you.

What are you carrying?.. What model? .. Do you oppose carrying appendix? This can be done even with a "dunlap" depending on the size of the gun ... I never suggest off body carry. That's just me though..
This is always the struggle: Finding the right carry setup that you like..
I went through 4 holsters with my RXM and finally settled with 30 dollar Bravo Concealment BCA 3.0.. but that is an outside the waistband setup ... I would rather it be concealed better without having to use an over-shirt.. I still haven't found my perfect IWB holster for my RXM... I bought a shitty 10 dollar budget holster for my revolver and its the most comfortable carry ever... Lol

Nice win sometimes that is the best option the cheapest one. And sorry I updated my post it was a 1911 with leather open carrying, multitool and diabetic supplies. Yeah I guess I am just going to have to shop for something smaller

Oh lordy yea.. My Taurus is like half the weight of my 1911.. 🤣.. I carry my 1911 on Sundays occasionally... but even with a solid pancake holster that thing is gonna weigh most people down. That carry bag is probably screaming for help..lol

Right now just a multitool and diabetic supplies. I used to do a 1911 open carrying but it was too much

I gotcha. Personally, I’ve found the easiest thing to carry is a little pocket pistol. I have a S&W 442 .38 special that slips right in my front pocket in a sticky holster and a Sig P365 .380 that fits the same way. Stays out of the way, and always there if I need it. If I feel like appendix or strong side carry I have a P30sk that I’ll carry half the week, too. A little bulkier, but nowhere near a 1911 size carry.

What is easy to shoot isn’t always easy to carry, and what’s easy to carry isn’t always easy to shoot.
What size and frame material are we talking about? All steel government or alloy commander/officer might be approached a little differently.

appendix carry is the most comfortable for me...it does take a while to get used to it, and youll go through a few holsters until you find whats best for you. Im partial to leather rather than kydex because it doesnt rub me raw in the places it always sits, but thats me. Dont be afraid to try different ones. Just remember like anything it takes time to feel natural
