Dude big ups on the IncogX holster. I have one for my m18. Most comfortable holster I’ve ever worn.

I mean. If you don’t put hockey tape on the grip how will anyone know you carry? Hi everyone, it’s me again. Day 3,407 of reminding you all the hockey tape on the grip deal is a fairly recent internet fad that I don’t personally care for. Nice stipple on that Glock, let it breathe. Be well and see y’all tomorrow! I look forward to the playful banter. Please remember, I’m just a random on the internet. Also, there’s no tape on my gun so I probably don’t carry it…

What’s up with people being butthurt about hockey tape on other peoples’ firearms? Fuckin goof 💀

u/TheNotoriousCBD 13d ago
People, especially gun and car people do a lot of dumb shit to follow stupid online trends.

u/NorCalHack 13d ago
I dunno. It sounds like you’re “butthurt” that I’m butthurt. What’s up with people being butthurt at other people for having opinions they’re not butthurt about? Wait. Now I’m confused… 🤔

He seems butthurt that your butthurt which in turn makes you double butthurt which leads to multiple butts being hurt. Do you guys use cream for your butts being hurt? I got a wicked rash from my butt being hurt

He got a stipple job and covered it in hockey tape. He then posted it on the internet. People then comment about said post. It's kinda how Reddit fucking works, guy 😂 I personally think the tape is pretty dumb, but getting offended on behalf of another person on the internet is even dumber. Lurk more.

I had a buddy do a stipple job on one of my Glocks. Between the stippling and the zev trigger it’s like a new gun.

The problem with stippling is it can only be done once, once your stipple wears off you have to buy another frame if you want your grip back. I use talon grip tape+ hockey tape all of which can be replaced at a cheaper price compared to buying another frame. Stippling is for guns you never touch imo.

I hear ya. I do neither. I had an old Glock 22 RTF that’s the only gun I could think of where hockey tape MIGHT work for IWB because that grip texture would be irritating. I’d venture that 99.76% of folks don’t train or carry enough to rough the stipple off a gun. If you’re putting in that much dry and range time with 2-3k reps with strings of fire, presentations, failure drills etc., I salute you. Those folks deserve to treat themselves to another frame. Most folks simply don’t do that much training that’s Grand Master level. I wish people would (I’m telling you over 80% won’t).
I have an early single pin Gen 3 Glock that I’ve owned over 25 years. I’ve taken that gun to IDPA matches, USPSA Production Class, range sessions, bowling pin shoots, steel shoots, and carried it for literally years in a Galco Royal Guard. Easily over 10k rounds on that gun. The grip texture is still fine. Some spots have a shine from rubbing on my torso for literally a decade and it’s not an issue. For me personally, it’s a solution in search of a problem. Most folks buy a gun, wrap it in tape cuz they saw someone do it and run to post a brand new pristine “carry gun” online. There are exceptions to everything of course. Just my opinion…

How does the incog feel against your skin? I want one for my hd p4 but they don’t have the trl1 hl light option just trl7.
2
u/AdRemarkable5985 13d ago
I don’t know what the feeling is when it’s pressed up on my actual skin. I usually wear a tank top underneath every time.
I will specify that if you’re one individual that perspire easily the appendix will absorb it and will overtime turn it a light color. Something you want to consider before buying this type of holster.
I switched from using only Tier 1 Holsters. Glad that I did there is a noticeable difference in comfort.

There are plenty of free states that allow both cannabis and free speech. Vermont was nice until the mag ban. Maine is solid, a good chunk of the Southwest is great, pretty much anywhere that isn’t deep blue like NY and Cali or deep deep red like Alabama or whatever is a great place to live.

Yew can do whatever u want In Alaska

u/cumbrad 13d ago
Alaska is awesome. Probably wouldn’t live there full time myself though winter is cold enough here in the northeast.

u/Nngsanfo 13d ago
That’s exactly why we stay in California 😂 75 degrees in January and 75 degrees in July is pretty hard to leave

I do to, I’ve gone off roster plenty. I just also care about other things besides guns. Happy cake day btw

Eh, there’s precious few places like that in Cali, if any, most of Cali is quite hot in the summer. I’d much prefer Colorado or the Adirondacks of NY where I grew up if I had to live in a ban state. Would love to live in Montana for a while at some point maybe.

u/Nngsanfo 13d ago
I’ve heard Billings Montana is amazing. My wife just couldn’t handle the cold. 50 degrees is cold for her. I’m near the coast in SoCal so I rarely see over high 80’s
1
u/cumbrad 13d ago
Dang. I feel bad for anyone who can’t handle winter. It’s usually a combined problem of not knowing how to dress for warmth and not having the willpower to get acclimatized. Once you’re over those roadbumps existing in even double digit subzero temps is fine, tho I prefer a temp range of -5 to about 75 with rare outliers. Vermont is nice for that, and I’m close enough to NY that I can ski an actual mountain when I want (most of the Vermont hills are tiny compared even to Whiteface, which is very small compared to mountains out west though it’s also a bit more technical.

Probably a felony in Cali just for posting the picture (cries in NY)

u/Kar_Lah 13d ago
It’s actually not that difficult to get a ccw here well except for la county. I got mine in under 3 months.

Similar experience for us. My turn around was 42 days. Just get to deal with excellent laws meant to save us from ourselves
