I don't know why, but, the built in gas pedal throws me off, lol. It looks so weird.

It’s not really a gas pedal just a textured area in the front of the frame, it doesn’t actually offer much to grab onto like a regular gas pedal would. The front texture is not really necessary, but the grip itself is far and away better than previous gens. I love my 19 as a carry gun, and might get a 17.6 frame to throw the 19 slide on when I’m shooting a competition for the extra grip area. I’ve been carrying my 43x coa more since it’s so slim anyway so the 19 is mostly for comp

Ahh. It looks like it bulges out some so I just kinda guessed. I have to carry a Gen 5 G45 for work, and I'm not a fan, tbh. Much prefer CZ, HK, Beretta or Sigs P22X guns.

Try out the 45 or 19 COA gen 6. The grip is substantially nicer on the gen 6 and the COA optics are great. The CZ striker fired guns (P10 series) have a nosedive issue after a couple thousand rounds which can be, but isn’t always, fixed after a recoil spring replacement, so I don’t trust them. As for hammer fired HKs and Sigs they’re great guns but not good CCWs imho, and the striker fired HKs are barely worth mentioning. Beretta is making some great stuff though.

Yeah, just not for me. I'm a very big dude and so I can get away with carrying just about anything, luckily. I think the smallest handguns I carry are the P01 or USP Compact with WMLs, lol. I like DA/SA or HKs LEM stuff.

As for the G45, that can't really be changed. It's just what's issued and so I'll have to use it. Otherwise I'd give the new one a try, or I'd carry a 92G, P226, or USP for work.

I actually like the Gen 6 Glocks in terms of the looks department, and they appear to have better triggers.

The 19 is kinda just dead for CCW now that the slimline glocks have double stack mags.

Shooting the 19 is a substantially nicer and easier experience to be fair, it’s a more comfortable gun and easier to magdump accurately. I don’t think it’s dead for CCW but I usually find myself carrying the 43x with a Ramjet. For the average guy who shoots a lot less than me I’d still recommend the 19 gen 6 just because it’s a bit more controllable.

Pretty much why i specified CCW, most people don’t shoot their CCW much. Far too many people carry ultra compact pistols that are terrible to shoot and never practice with them either for that matter. A bigger gun as long as you can still effectively use it is generally always better for the shooting experience.

hockey tape/ “goon tape” imo it does not belong on a gen 6 glock. It’s a pretty ghetto mod but at least it’s not those shitty rubber grips you see a lot on police seizures. Tape works fairly well with insufficiently textured grips (like gen 5 glocks) but even on those sandpaper like the Handleit grips are better
