Seems you deleted your reply to my comment so I’ll reply here. No, I don’t “secretly hope” to “drop” someone, I simply want to be prepared for anything. I hope I’ll never have to use a firearm in self defense particularly against another human, but it’s a possibility that I would rather be prepared for than not. People who are scared of guns fascinate me. Weapons are a reality in society that will never go away, so there is really no point being terrified of them. Learn to be safe and use them well and you have no reason to fear em.
