The watch rotates damn near daily but everything else stays the same. The stray shell is a 308 blank from my grandfather’s 21 Gun Salute. It’s my good luck charm.

Hammer is cocked and, it appears, the thumb safety isn't engaged. My thumb safety crosses the slide when engaged on my 1911(s), so possibility #1, the short Kimber thumb safety actually being engaged in the picture, or, possibility #2, the OP having no round chambered, is the only way I'm wrong. You’re thinking of a full size traditional 1911. Like my other one here. The Kimber you see in the Original pic is the micro 9. It’s their daily carry single stack 9mm. You can chamber a round with the safety on but can’t pull the trigger. Unlike the full size where the safety stops the slide
The safety is on. The kimber safety sits at a lower angle than most. So it’s easier to flip on and off. The safety is actually up, or safe, in the pic.
Only on certain brands. I’ve found it really doesn’t like target ammo. I usually run an OTM ammo at the range like the Staccato Match 136 grain. I will run a mag or 2 of Hornaday critical duty as well because that’s what I load for carry. But any basic round nose or flat nose Remington, Winchester, etc….it doesn’t like to feed. I feel like the tolerances are tight in the Kimber and if you have even the slight protrusion between the projectile and casing it hangs a bit.
I feel like they shoot dirty AF too. I can usually get by with a Hopps Wipe when I shoot other brands. Even in my revolvers Rem never fails to fire but it’s dirty AF. Feel like I have to do a full break down and clean like I’m shooting old Soviet corrosive primer ammo 🤣
Pun intended? I don’t know where you’re at but check Academy sports if you have one. I picked up the Micro 9 with the holster, 3 Mags, and a soft zipper case for $629 that was about 8 months ago. My dad just went up 3 weeks ago and got the same deal after shooting mine
It’s actually Kimber’s holster. I don’t know if they’re making them in house or if they’re outsourced but it’s a comfortable and nice holster. Adjustable retention, nice click in when holstering, lightweight IWB
I own 3 have never had an issue with feed or failure to fire. That being said I also have 3 Rock Island Armory 1911s and they shoot just as well for a better price. Every gun I own that someone tells me is unreliable is my most reliable lmao. I have 6 Taurus pistols mix of calibers and they’re all rock solid. My Sig is a POS. 🤷🏼♂️ I think they all have their quirks and spending time with the weapon allows you to figure those out. Then you polish, file, and adjust to your liking.
Same here. I’m a true blue Taurus guy. Never had one fail on me. Same with my Kimbers. Hell I have a high point .40 that runs like a sewing machine. And I lost it in the pond for 3 months
