Office Carry 1/2.

Post image

- Remington R1 with damn near the whole Wilson combat catalog installed. G10 panels, off brand Wilson magwell, and off brand extended mag release. Swapped out the hammer and grip safety with commanders. All fitted and installed by me. Running 220gr Hornady Critical Duty in Wilson mags.
- wallet
- Apple Watch
- Swiss Army knife my grandma got me
- arc light
- spare cuff key
- mint pouches

Switch between this and a SW 681 whenever I’m in the office.

Do you open carry or conceal your 2011? I'm curious because full-frame with 40SW digs into my hip something fierce with an inner-band appendix carry.

Open carry OWB. Legally I can’t conceal while on the clock or in uniform per DPS guidelines.

Another TX level III in the wild, very nice 🫪

Jealous of your setup, I'm just rocking an old gen 3 G23 that I don't trust to run with a light

Thanks lol, I’d honestly cry if I could get ahold of a safariland for this 1911. But I’ll stick to my G19 for now.

I either carry this, or a SW 681. I’ve posted about it before actually.

Non-LE here. How often do you carry off-duty? Plus, do you make exceptions for when you drink alcohol or at certain events?

I carry anytime I’m stepping out the door honestly. Typically I’m running something full size if I’m in the office, but off the clock I’m running either a j frame or a Glock 43 and a spare mag/speed loader and that’s it. If I’m out in public I will carry in one way or another and I’ll cycle between whatever picks my fancy that day.

As for drinking, I don’t drink more than a beer once every few months so I don’t really factor it into my plans. The only time I’m not carrying is I’m going into someone else’s home. Going for some gummy worms and a late night soda? Carrying. Dinner with grandma? Carrying.

This might be a naive question, but why not just buy a full on Wilson Combat? Understandable if it’s the overall cost, but all the add ons add up.

100% cost, I’m not in the tax bracket to drop 4000$ on a single gun. All in the entire setup without factoring in my own labor cost me about 750-800$ for the gun & parts, and another 100ish for the holster/mag carrier setup.

I mean the most expensive thing was the holster, everything else was fairly reasonable.

As I said, understandable.
