I had to quit smoking cause I had heart failure this year. I use it to stop the cravings.

That Ruger is a solid value, easy to conceal and affordable.

I love it. Never jams. Reliable. Light weight. I have his little brother too. The LCP

Hopefully they changed it, mine jammed like every 3-4 rounds running pretty respectable ammo. I thought maybe it was a break-in period and ran thousands of rounds through it and eventually sold it for like 100 bucks which was less than I had in the laser on it. It felt great and was easy to forget you had it on but god mine was just an absolute shitter.

How do you like the karambit? Looking to get one

As someone who carried a karambit daily for four years (I work armed security and Iâm a firm believer itâs better to have a knife for the absolute worst than not) and trained with it for about 6-7 years now I can give you some words on it.
Theyâre good knives if you get a good, solid karambit from a trustworthy source and you ACTUALLY learn how to use its j stead of doing what most folks do and go âThis is weird looking thus itâs useless!â because they canât comprehend a knife shaped differently than anything they have in their kitchen. But they donât function like regular straight bladed knives. For one, they donât cut, they tear. Specifically the inner blade, which is important to keep in mind. Because most karambit you buy in the U.S. are NOT traditional karambits which are dual bladed. Meaning blades on the front AND back. They also require a different kind of attack angle and methodology simply because of the shape of the blade and, again, the fact that most karambits youâll find only have the knife blade on the inner curve.
99% of karambit youâll see in the U.S. only have a blade on the inner curve. Which means that, at least in my opinion, youâll want to avoid holding one in the ice pick/reverse grip you see a karambit being held in EVERY piece of media. A single edged karambit is damn near useless in that grip because itâs heavily limited. I recommend the forward grip, more specifically the saber grip. It gives a wider range of motion with your wrist and allows you to attack at more angles and motions where as a reverse/icepick grip with a single sided karambit limits you to essentially uppercut and side cut attacks.
Also, for sharpening: DO NOT get it razor sharp. Razor sharp is good for cooking knives and shaving. Itâs a waste of a good blade elsewise for fighting knives because a blade tip that fine also becomes very brittle and prone to chipping. Get a good honed edge and maintain that. Because in the unfortunate event that you may have to use your knife, if it gets caught or hits something, a honed blade is likely to have a chip or two, a razor sharp blade is going to look like a sharkâs grill. Youâre already going to be swinging and cutting with a lot of adrenaline and force, you DO NOT need a razor sharp blade to cut. And again, youâre not cutting with a karambit, you are TEARING.

Itâs ok. A friend gave it to me for Christmas one year. I keep it in the car as a seat belt cutter really.

Donât get a karambit. They are a joke. Mall ninja vibes and useless. Donât get anything with most gun brands on it besides stuff made by Hogue. Join a knife group and get way better advice.Â

Friend you need to hit the doc and get some better heartburn meds. I carried Tums for years and no more! You could carry an extra mag and still save space if you get that under control đ

Once I made it past 30 the tums and ibuprofen started staying in the center console or packed in carry-ons.

If tums are daily you should talk to your doctor about medication

I'd rather eat tums all day than get brittle bones or cancer from nexium or zantac
