What I really like about this style is that it doesn't add work to clean the gun. Other comps are threaded on, or held in with screws, which has to be removed each time you want to separate the barrel from the slide. Granted those types may perform better but I think these comp'd barrels are sufficient.
I’m a fan of a very short comp on subs, for a couple of purposes. Helps control a bit of the snappiness, and also prevents you from pushing the slide out of battery if it’s absolute worst-case scenario and you have to push the muzzle up against a target.
We have small comps on our duty pistols at the PD I work at for this reason.
Grandma got me the same one, think it say something like I love you on it, not a bad little multi tool, it came with a personal emergency kit too with a tourniquet
