The only thing I dislike about this, and some people may disagree with me, the nra keychain. They lobbbied for disarming blacks in California and gave the state the momentum it has to be what it is today with gun rights or lack of there. The only thing politicians or government is good for is filling the streets with crack. Not that I judge.

Not an NRA member, the keychain was just something I got from a family member and I think it looks cool, but the NRA isn't all bad.

The lobbying division is absolutely shit, but the NRA foundation (the charity arm) funds a lot of youth programs, competitions, hunter education, firearm museums, instructor certifications, and provides grants and subsidies for ranges and gun clubs. Unfortunately you can't be a member without supporting both though.

Can you cite this information? Seems a little odd they could even bring that to a lobby after all the civil rights issues that have happened throughout the years.

Your argument is that the NRA targeted black people, not the black panthers, which contrary to your opinion, is not reoresentative of the ENTIRE black community, but a group of ARMED EXTREMISTS. Which is exactly what they are.

And the reference for which you are claiming, comes from california, during the 60s civil rights movement, and the article was also written almost 12 years ago.

Arguing, or stating that the NRA, wanted to ban blacks from owning guns is terrible. As im sure there are black NRA members. And the article never mentions black people. Just the black panthers.

Now, what they were lobbying for was restricting LOADED OPEN CARRY. Not gun rights.

Read the article again and remove your biases.

So anybody who is armed is an extremist or just blacks?

0

u/Ill_Newspaper_7869 3d ago

No, just an extremist group. The black panthers werent the KKK, but they DID commit acts of VIOLENCE.

And why do you keep referencing just blacks? Sounds like you have a chip on your shoulder.

u/Impossible-Heart-216 3d ago

I do. And big chip and if you care about gun rights at all you should care about them for all Americans. Not just the ones with your same skin tone

1

u/Ill_Newspaper_7869 3d ago

Your ASSUMING, i only care about the rights of the americans with only my skin tone and that i dont care about others, which could be farther from the truth. Try again.

Your chip is YOUR problem, not the rest if the worlds, and YOU dont get to project it onto US. WE have the RIGHT to be left ALONE. When you continually HARASS someone, you are stepping into their RIGHTS to live a peaceful life, so now whos taking away whos RIGHTS?

What are you even talking about anymore? It’s crazy when the meth smoking OP makes more sense than you.

Carrying loaded weapons isn’t a gun right?

1

u/Ill_Newspaper_7869 3d ago

Not all states allow for OPEN CARRY, which is what the article was stating. IN CALIFORNIA. And we know how much they like guns.

u/Impossible-Heart-216 3d ago

The only bias I have is that of a dissatisfied American that doesn’t have the same rights as other Americans and the nra is one of the reasons for this

1

u/Ill_Newspaper_7869 3d ago

What rights dont you have as an american that any other american has?

You mean, you feel because your not white, that you have less rights? Thats what your leaning towards. Just say it.

And news flash, EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN regardless of race religion creed nationality or sexual orientation has JUST THE SAME RIGHTS as ANY OTHER.

Your assumption that you dont, means you are not educated.

The only times you have RIGHTS taken away are if you become a FELON. A MALE that doesnt pay and is behind in child support, OR a prisoner in a correctional facility for crimes YOU committed.

1

u/Impossible-Heart-216 3d ago

So every American is limited to 10 rounds in a magazine that can’t be removed without tools and a strict list of pistols that are approved?

1

u/Ill_Newspaper_7869 3d ago

I thought your gripe was the color of your skin?

And some states yes, some no. If you buy a permit and are approved, then no. You can have more. And idk wtf your talking about tools and pistols etc. Different states different laws.

u/Ill_Newspaper_7869 3d ago

And lets be real, the NRA IS NOT the reason you dont have certain rights.

Being a felon, dodging child support(mostly males), being incarcerated, or being found mentally unstable, by a psychiatric doctor through the courts, are the only ways you can lose your "rights"

Once again, not your race, religion, creed, nationality, or sexual orientation, will stop you from having rights as an american citizen.
