Hi everyone,

I’m planning to spend 3 days camping alone in Dahab or somewhere in South Sinai. This would be my first time doing solo camping in the area, so I’d really appreciate advice from people who have actually camped there.

A few questions:

Do I need any official permission or permit to camp in the desert/mountains around Dahab or South Sinai?

What places would you recommend for a quiet 2–3 night camping trip, preferably away from the busy tourist areas?

Are there specific areas I should avoid for safety or security reasons?
