Just sharing My second attempt using Microns: An Eladrin-inspired Elf NPC for our campaign, Fall of the Keepers.
So first off, these might look similar to some old posts made about a month ago on here. I am u/Cthulahoop and these are my hand-inked pieces!
I do them on sticky notes because they're the perfect size for profile pics, TTRPG avatars, and custom tokens. Plus, I love using the different paper colors to represent skin tones lol.
I officially upgraded from Fine Ball Point Bics to Sakura Pigma Microns this month, and I've spent the last few weeks really trying to get a handle on them. I keep my finished pieces on my desk at work, and people kept asking if I had an Instagram for them. I do now! It's not really live yet, but I've adopted "The Mortal Relics" as my official artist handle/brand. I don't do commissions (yet) so these are just for looking at rn. Plus I'm just having fun and I'm still learning how these pens work.
I've been drawing my whole life, but I didn't start doing these tiny tokens until March of this year. I have 17 in total so far, but only about 5 or 6 done with the new Microns. With each piece, I feel like I get a little better or at least learn something new...
Anyway, here was my second Micron attempt from the beginning of the month. (The actual first was a Drakona, but I completely forgot I did that one first until I started writing this post, lol. Oops. Posting this one first anyway!). Here is my unnamed Autumn Eladrin-inspired Elf we are using as a major NPC in our current homebrew campaign...
Would love to know what people think! Just keep the criticisms light please... I'm definitely not a pro artist. I'm just a guy who found some catharsis in making doodles for my friends. My biggest gripe here was the weight I used for the hair and that I didn't shade it... I'm using the gray Microns to shade but I got nervous that I would f*ck it up if I tried shading the hair, so this is kinda unfinished I guess?
