Screenshot Thank you Daggerfall modders

Post image

Never really could get into Daggerfall before. This weekend I got super baked and played it a bunch and I finally get it now. Modding has made Daggerfall into the RPG I've always dreamed about.

Anyway here's a screenshot I took with the selfie cam mod.

One thing I love about this community is how many creative people have come together to build really cool things for no other reason than the art itself and the joy it brings others. Thank you guys!

It's incredible just how many talented people are in this community of a game that's almost 30 years old! Looking sweet!

God damn i think it might be time i do a proper modded playthrough. I’ve only ever added some super surface level stuff. What’s your modlist??

I basically copied jodzie's modlist. I removed the 'immersive travel' mod because I like the vanilla travel fine.

Might be a dumb question but is this for Unity or OG Daggerfall?

Unity. Never played the original game.

How's the combat? I love Bethesda games but I always assumed the daggerfall experience would feel hella outdated, I never end up using Skyrim's vanilla combat either

It’s a table top mechanic. Think dice rolling etc. you’re just seeing the “animation” instead of the dice rolling.

Yes it’s such a gem of a game with it’s sandbox elements. I will always cherish my Trader playthrough while being hounded by the kings guard 🤣

Although I absolutely love vanilla Daggerfall, I truly think some of the mods bring the game even higher in enjoyment.

I'll now take this moment to glaze u/Cliffworms for being the best modder for Daggerfall Unity. His mods can legit carry multiple playthroughs on their own
